“I hoped you would say yes to marrying me, and we could perhaps raise our own family in this home.” His voice is low, a whisper, but it is drenched in love and affection. His arms are still around my waist, he’s still holding onto me, and I’m thankful because I’m shaking.

“All I need to know is if you’re happy.”
“I’ve never been happier,” I tell him. “Thank you.” I throw my arms around him, pulling him close to me.
