need his permission or money. This apartment is in my name, not his.”

“But I don’t want to come between the two of you,” Dimitri said. “He loves you and is concerned about your welfare.”

“He will come around and accept you one of these days,” Eli said. “And if he doesn’t, it’s his problem.”

“He’s right you know. I have to prove to him that I can take care of you.”

“I don’t need you to take care of me,” Eli said. “We can take care of each other.”

“I know,” Dimitri said.

“Have you ever thought of going back to college? It’s not too late.”

“I’m not Loyola material,” Dimitri said. He had thought about it a while back but had forgotten about it until Eli brought it up.

“There are other colleges. Xavier has an amazing art curriculum.

Just think about it. You won’t have to worry about paying bills, and you can concentrate on your studies. You can attend classes and still have time to practice your music. And in four years you can have your degree and become anything you want to be.”

“What I want to be is the only man in your life and in your bed forever.”

“That can be arranged,” Eli said, sighing contently.

“What about Randall?”

“I’ll let him down easy,” Eli assured him.

“Don’t look into his eyes,” Dimitri said. “They’d get to you and make you do things you’ve never dreamed of doing. And while I’m on the subject, stay away from Dexter, too.”

“I will remember that,” Eli said, planting kisses against Dimitri’s forehead. “Dexter isn’t my type. And while I’m on the subject, I did promise Randall that I’ll meet him in Paris in four years, and I never break a promise.”

“You can keep that promise,” Dimitri said with a yawn. “But I’ll be right there to keep the two of you apart. Hopefully by then he’ll latch on to some other alpha male to make all his dreams come true.” He yawned again. “And yes, I’ll move in with you to make sure you don’t get any ideas of bringing Randall home to practice with him.”

“Nothing happened,” Eli said with a chuckle. He snuggled against Dimitri.

The next sound Dimitri heard was Eli snoring peacefully beside him. The sun had come up and was trying to peep in through the mini-blinds at the window.

Dimitri rolled over and watched him. Preppy boy had an angelic smile on his face. Dimitri kissed him tenderly on the forehead. “Good night, Eli, and pleasant dreams. I’ll try to be everything you want me to be.”
