We started talking on Twitter about the military and law enforcement desertions. The United States government had become a failed state. There was no food and no order. People felt that now they could take their revenge on the rich, who stole the wealth of the planet for themselves. Everyone tweeted “Feed The Rich,” “Feed The Rich” over and over again. All of us knew what that meant —take down the fortified estates of the wealthy, seize their resources and leave them for the flesh eaters.

James Garamound, Resident, La Jolla, CA

I knew this shit was going to happen sooner or later. They were gonna come after the people with money. I told my wife that was going to happen five years ago. And at that time I purchased one hundred acres in Wyoming with a plan to make a last stand bunker with my own personal security army, five years of food and enough resources to outlast the uprising. But you know what? I paid seven and a half million dollars for a view of the Pacific Ocean from my La Jolla mansion. Why the fuck should I leave that? I built my investment firm from my Irvine apartment to building the wealth that I have. Why should I hide in some bunker in the middle of nowhere?

We stayed in La Jolla. And thankfully other residents around me decided to do the same. We pool together our money to create our own personal 24 hour security around our beach community. So when the mob came, our security people cut them down. We killed hundreds of those motherfuckers. And I continued to eat my steak with a view of the Pacific Ocean each and every night afterwards.

“Warlord,” Personal Security Officer, Alpine, New Jersey

I was being paid in food, gas, gold and pussy. My boss was a big, big name in entertainment and he took care of us. All twenty of us. But I will tell you, there was a time when I thought about leaving. Alpine is just across the river from Manhattan and we could see the fires, we could see the Blackhawks and you could smell the death.

We lasted in Alpine for about a month before the flesh eaters and the angry mob overran us. Our employer went south. I took what I had and headed west. It was then when the whole Northeast of the United States became one giant wasteland.

Mitch (LAST NAME REDACTED), Member of “Feed The Rich,” Chicago, Ill

I heard about the “Feed The Rich” takeovers in New York and I knew then it was time to act. I was either going to be eaten or I was going to starve to death. These wealthy motherfuckers who stole everything from this country kept all the resources for themselves and were just laughing at us, waiting for the rest of the world to consume each other.

About two dozen of us met on the Southside. We decided that we needed to find a way to eat or die. Hell, we were just doing what the rich were doing. They win at any cost. So, for us, we were determined to win our meal at any cost.

Captain Lisa McQuerrie, Operations Officer, Centcom

Centcom had to act as a liaison between the President and the field units for the military. However, we were not able to get clear communication to any field units in the Northeast. At one point, we started contacting law enforcement agencies and the FBI simply to find out what was going on. And then it became apparent that the military had essentially become completely non-function in the Northeast region. At that point, it became all about containment. We wanted to make sure that we would be able to maintain military discipline with the rest of the Homeland military units.

Gerald Kirpatrick, Former Deputy New York City Mayor

The only real military presence we had where the Blackhawks and unmanned drones. There were some other aircraft in the area. However, their primary objective was to intercept and confront any enemy forces looking to invade American airspace.

The military wasn’t talking to use at all. The Federal enforcement agencies basically told us that we were on own. The Mayor met with the Chief of Police and other New York City enforcement agencies. We were told that our own cops were leaving their posts to be with out families.

Dr. Evert McKinney, Center of Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, GA

At around 3AM, we get a call that one of the flesh eaters was captured alive and being sent to a secure facility at Fort McPherson. My team was airlifted over to the base on one of those huge Chinook helicopters. While we were in the air, you could see Atlanta burning. I saw bodies and body parts all over the street. One of the solders manned an M-60 at the door. He shot at anything that moved. I wasn’t sure if he was hitting flesh eaters or civilians.

We get to the facility about half and hour later. I had spent my time reading up on any possible disease link that could cause cannibalism. I was not able to find any previous cases so I knew I would be encountering something completely different.

We put on hazmat uniforms since we didn’t know if this condition is transmittable. As I put on the suit, I kept wondering if I was witnessing the end of the world. I tried to recall passages from the Bible. I don’t know if Revelations mentioned anything about men eating the flesh of other men. But I felt that cannibalism would be a part of any apocalyptic prophesy.

The flesh eater was strapped down to a gurney with five solders at guard around the subject. Their weapons were drawn. They were nervous. I really worried one of them would start shooting. I was in the line of fire. And I knew that if that flesh eater flinches, the solders would shoot right through me to get to him.

The first thing I noticed were the eyes. The flesh eater’s eyes were red and dilated. The second thing I noticed was that the person’s heart rate was extremely calm and that the person was no sweating or showing any sense of stress. There was a sense of calm about the person. Then he looked at me. And he didn’t look at me like a person. He looked at me the way a tiger would look at a antelope. He was just waiting for his chance to get free and pounce on me. I could sense him thinking. This wasn’t a mindless zombie. This was someone with clarity. In order for him to live, he needs to eat. And, to him, I was northing more than a piece of meat.

Arron Dellitros, Chief of Staff, Office Of The President Of The United States

We landed at Peterson Air Force Base at around 3 AM Mountain Standard Time. The President was in constant contact with Centcom at MacDill and with regional command in New York. It soon became apparent that we had lost complete control of the Northeastern part of the United States. At that point, the President became concerned that the military and Federal Enforcement Officers, in other parts of the country, would desert. At around 4AM, the President signed executive order 6832, which allowed for the conscription of able bodied men and women into a Federal Guard. Personally, I felt that this was the exact wrong thing to do. People were leaving to be with their families. And we were going to use our dwindling remaining forces to kidnap and force others into a Homeland Army.

Captain Lisa McQuerrie, Operations Officer, Centcom

I had been at my post for sixteen hours when I heard reports about the Chinese flyovers in the Northeast. This caught all of us by surprise. We knew the Chinese had spies all over the country. We have our own clandestine officers in China. But this was a deliberate show of defiance. We scrambled a response and fired warning shots at those planes. We thought they got the message. They didn’t.

Major General Lu Pang, Chief Spy, U.S. Operations, People’s Republic of China

Many people would have believed that the People’s Republic of China would be happy about what was happening in the United States. The exact opposite was true. First of all, our economies are interlinked. If the United States falls, China would suffer great difficulty. Secondly, we feared that this situation would spread to Asia. We did not know if the epidemic of cannibalism was something that was being transferred by air. I ordered my clandestine officers to keep an update on the situation in the Northeastern region of the United States.

Sir William Evers, Resident, Monte Carlo, Monaco

I woke up around 6 AM when I heard about what was happening in the United States. Europe’s hunger situation was considerably worse than what was going on in America. To see the Americans resort to cannibalism greatly worried me. I made a call and had my yacht prepared to go. I did not know where me and my family would be headed. Living on any continent had simply become too dangerous. Yes, there are concerns about pirates. But I just assumed take my chances at sea. I don’t believe zombies can swim.

Riley Evans, Resident, Arlington, Virginia

I was one of the fortune few to still have a D.C. job at the Department of Defense. This allowed me consistent fuel and food rations so I could make it to my job and have something to eat. On the day of the uprising, I get a call to come back to the Pentagon. By three A.M., we get word that the President had left the White House. By five AM, we were given orders that the Pentagon would be on lockdown. I couldn’t go home. And after a while, I realized that there would not be a home to go back to. Whatever happened in New York was coming for us.
