Temple Mount Plot

Christian fundamentalist preacher Texe Marrs is a very worried man. He’s uncovered the Big One, a conspiracy by the Illuminati, the Freemasons and the same Jews who brought you the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion—to take over the world. On his website (www.texemarrs.com) Marrs writes:

Now the lid is blown off the forbidden, secret powderkeg of the Masonic Jews who run Israel and, by extension, the United States and the world. Unbeknownst to either the Israeli elite or to America’s pro-Israel cabal in Washington, DC, for over six years I have conducted an intensive investigation of Jewish Masonic influence. Finally, I have released three bombshell videos unmasking my grotesque discoveries in this area.

Illuministic Communism the Goal

The goal of the Jewish Masonic elite is to establish dictatorial Illuministic Communism and to enslave all of mankind under the thumb of a Jewish master race led by a world messiah who is to rule from Jerusalem.

An essential element in this grandiose plan is the Masonic plot to blow up and destroy Islam’s golden-domed monument now sitting on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, despised by Orthodox Jewish rabbis and the secularist Masonic Illuminists alike.

In fact, Marrs suggests, the plot is not limited to the destruction of the Dome of the Rock but will also raze another Islamic holy site on the mount, the Mosque of Omar. The edifices will be brought down by the Israeli Defence Forces in the midst of a war and the “disaster will be scandalously blamed” on an errant Arab missile or bomb. After the bulldozers have cleared the Temple Mount of its Islamic relics, the Freemasons/Illuminati/Jews will “build a Jewish Masonic temple where they and their satanically energized messiah shall worship and pay homage to the Egyptian double-headed eagle deity, Mammon-Ra, the god of money and prosperity”.

Marrs might be one of the most energetic denouncers of the “Temple Mount Plot”—he has videos and DVDs to sell, after all—but he is not the first.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is a holy place for all branches of the Abrahamic religions—Christianity, Islam and Judaism. In June 1967 the Israelis won the Six Day War and the Mount came under Jewish control for the first time in 2,000 years; shortly afterwards, archaeological expeditions began work on the site, one being headed by Dr Asher Kaufman, a member of the Quatuor Coronati Lodge of the British Freemasons. Some Freemason-watchers feared Kaufman’s dig was a cover for a Freemason takeover of the site.

Nearly 20 years later, in September 1995, the Freemason-connected “Land of Israel Faithful Movement” and a group of Orthodox Jews attempted to enter the Dome of the Rock to lay the cornerstone of a Third Temple (which would hasten the return of the Messiah). This action—portrayed by Marrs and others as evidence of the Jewish—Masonic conspiracy—was turned back by the Israeli Army. Also in 1995, a Jerusalem branch of Freemasons was founded next to the Mount; its leader was Giuliano di Bernardo, author of The Reconstruction of the Temple (1996).

The actions of the Freemasons in Jerusalem seem provocative, but then the Temple Mount is the most contested religious site in the world, where damage to feelings and holy shrines is spark enough to light a war. There is no plausible evidence of a Masonic—Jewish plot to take over the Mount. The 1995 joint invasion was a marriage of opportunistic convenience and has not been repeated. If the Jews collectively were intent on taking over the Islamic sites on the Mount, why did the Israeli Army turn back the Orthodox protesters? (A number of Israeli rabbis, incidentally, forbid adherents to enter any part of the Mount.) The published accounts of Quatuor Coronati Lodge show that it granted the Temple Mount dig of Kaufman a mere ?100, hardly enough to finance an appropriation of the site.

Titanic

On 10 April, 1912, RMS Titanic left Southampton for New York under the command of Captain Edward J. Smith. Aboard the ship, then the largest in the world at 852 feet (260m) long, were 2,224 passengers and crew. Four days later, just before midnight on 14 April, the Titanic hit an iceberg 400 miles (650km) south of Newfoundland, which ruptured five bulkheads on the starboard side. At 2.20 a.m. the ship slipped below the surface of the black Atlantic with the loss of 1,503 lives.

For over 70 years people agreed the Titanic disaster was a concantenation of fate (the iceberg) and folly (she was governed by maritime legislation which required her to carry lifeboats for only 1,178 people), but then Oxford plasterer Robin Gardiner published “Titanic”: The Ship that Never Sank? (1998). Gardiner’s thesis—elucidated also in his books The Riddle of the Titanic (1997) and The Titanic Conspiracy (1998; with Dan Van der Vat)— is that the Titanic disaster was, well, a titanic insurance fraud. According to Gardiner it was not the Titanic which left Southampton on 10 April but her older sister ship, the Olympic. This had been damaged by a Royal Navy ship, rendering her worthless. The cash-strapped White Star Line, owner of both ships, faced bankruptcy… until someone hit on the idea of switching the Olympic for the Titanic, then sinking the “Titanic” in mid-Atlantic and claiming oodles of insurance money. To pass off the Olympic as the Titanic was easy, since they were near- identical. All that was required was a week in a Belfast dry dock for a paint job that included a change of name.

The fraudsters, however, weren’t heartless: they arranged for the SS Californian and other rescue ships to be nearby in the middle of the Atlantic when the sea cocks of the false Titanic were opened… but the plan went awry when the Titanic hit a rescue vessel placed on station by White Star and sank sooner than expected, with the loss of many lives.

Gardiner picks up some oddities in the official Titanic saga, chiefly the suspicious behaviour of the Californian, which lurked 20 miles (32km) from the Titanic’s death-site on the fatal night. Owned by financier J. P. Morgan, the Californian was carrying an unusual cargo: 3,000 woollen blankets and jumpers. Morgan was a co-owner of White Star.
