Гальего, Васко-Гомес — часто называемый просто «португальским участником плавания». Его рассказ сохранился в замечательной книге Джованни-Баттиста Рамузио «Плавания и путешествия», опубликованной на рубеже XVI и XVII веков. В записках Гальего всего три страницы. Записки озаглавлены: «Рассказ португальца, спутника Одоардо Барбоса на корабле „Виктория“ в 1519 году».
