She entered thecottage and saw the wonderful delicious meal she had prepared forAquitain. The wooden table was set with the rainbow hued spider webtablecloth, the golden dishes and cutlery, the diamond crystalglasses of pale yellow mead. She glanced at the adjacent room andsaw her bed, their bed and smiled.
She clothedherself in the golden gown that he had made for her out of mindclay after their first adventure together and placed on her head apure ruby tiara fashioned in the shape of a heart at the front.Inside the heart was a miniature copy of their passionflowerbeating in rhythm with her heart. She went to the door, opened itand called out to Aquitain.
‘Come my love, dinner’s ready.’ And closed the door and stoodwaiting apprehensively as she had done in her dreambefore.
A few secondslater Aquitain stood outside the door in his Newman form, heclothed himself in a verdant silken gown, woven with images ofcreatures in gold thread and encrusted with gems in the style of aking that he had once seen in a book. The images were of a Newman,a Logicon, a bear, a little crystal figure, a cloud of mist witheyes and a big green stony monster and on his head he crafted acrown of emerald with the shape of a heart at its front. Inside theheart was a miniature version of the passionflower beating inrhythm with his heart.
In his hand heheld the real passionflower and its erotic aroma wafted through thecracks in the door and her mind reeled with its hypnoticeffect.
He knocked onthe door. Tap, Tap, Tap. Her heart began to beat faster.
‘Come in my love, it’s unlocked.’
He opened thedoor and was stunned by her beauty and she his beauty.
‘Here is the token of our love.’
She took it inher hand and flung her arms around his neck, embracing him andkissing him with such a passion that it made his head real andalmost shattered the mind arena.
Miranllareleased her bear like embrace and dizzily staggered back grabbinghold of the top of a chair to stabilize herself. Aquitain startingbreathing again even though it wasn’t necessary in a mind arena. Helooked through the doorway at the bed and then at the sumptuousmeal on the table and said.
‘Mmmm. Smells delicious but I think it will stay warm.’ hewhispered with a smile and nodded at the bed.
‘I’m sure it will.’ She replied holding out her hands tohim.
‘Come my love. The tattoo is no more and our time hascome.’
‘Oh. I thought I was supposed to remove it.’ hequipped
Suddenly herdress was gone and she stood naked in front of him clad only in thetattoo.
‘However, If you wish to formally remove it be my guest.’ shereplied with an alluring look on her face and spread herself in aseductive pose on the bearskin rug draped over theirbed.
He pointed afinger at her waist and said ‘Unlock’ and the tattoo turned into astring of daisies that threaded its way into the air above her,formed a heart shape then dissipated in a cloud of twinkling silverdust.
His clothesevaporated and he slid onto the bed beside her and they embracedagain but this time the passion was from both of them.
Rori wasstanding watching the dragon in the small window on the controlpanel and looked back at Miranlla and Aquitain. Her face wascovering sweat and she began moaning. ‘Oh! Oh! OH! OH!’
‘What is being wrong with Lady Miranlla.’ He wondered and thenhe realized what was happening.
‘I’m thinking she is still being his first favourite.’ hethought with a smile.
‘OH! OH! OHHHHHH!’ moaned Miranlla.
‘Suddenly the mind arena exploded like a majestic galaxy ofrainbow coloured stars that glittered in the dark sky, theZenostruct exploded into a cloud of mist and Miranlla opened hereyes breathing heavily, trying to catch her breath.
‘OH! BY the EVER LOVING LADY! That was … that was … that was …UNBELIEVABLE!’
She saw Roriwatching her with a knowing look on his face and she blushed. Heshook his head turning back to the control panel window with thedragon.
‘Perhaps we should be doing things about this dragon?’ hesaid.
Miranlla sawAquitain reform as a Newman. He walked over to her embraced her andkissed her gently.
‘Thank you my love that was … um…you were right…unbelievable.Um. Let’s get back to business.’ He said trying to focus hismind.
‘Right.’ She said with an eager look on her face.
‘Um. I mean let’s get back to Astaria and Mudrun business.’ Hereplied.
Miranlla burstinto song. It was a beautiful lament that soon had tears in theireyes. It was about two lovers destined to be together but alwayskept apart. Even Rori was deeply touched even though he didn’t knowthe words and when it finished she said.

‘Sorry! I needed that to refocus my mind. That is my song toyou my love. I have another much happier one for when we can trulybe together. I am and will ever be your queen in my mind and youwill ever be my king but now time is short, I have a lot of news totell you and she explained what had happened at the King’s councilmeeting.’
She told himabout Granddad’s revelations about his birth and upbringing. Allthe pieces of the jigsaw puzzle began to fall into place. Terrenhad NOT told him about the other dragon spirit in his crystal home.Why?
He imaginedthat two elemental dragon spirits locked in the crystal togethermust have had a massive battle of wits until they came to some sortof truce. They both realized that his mother’s spirit was the keyto get out. They agreed on a plan.
He was born andattached to the avatar spirit called Terren knowing full well thatif Granddad was able to get his daughter and Aquitain out of thecrystal into new bodies then Terren would get out as well.Conveniently Granddad was carefully given the way to get hisdaughter and Aquitain out and at least half of the plan succeeded.So why did Terren wait around for years while Aquitain grew up?Perhaps they were waiting for other parts of the plan to fall intoplace. Perhaps Aquitain’s job was to deliver Alpha to Astaria.
