‘I don’t know how to drain the excess magic out of them Roribut I can guess who would know. I’ll try to find out. You will needto wait here for a while as I have work to do. When I get a fewminutes spare I’ll take you to Bellen and the Trixies.’
Chapter 47Confrontations
Aquitain changed tohis Rock elemental form and melded into the control room wall. Helooked around Astaria to see where all the people were and swam toa remote region in the basement area of Astaria where there were nosigns of life.
He stepped outof the wall and checked the area to ensure it was empty, thenmeditated and unlocked his spirit from his Zenostruct body andleaving a little bit of spirit behind to keep the Zenostructfunctional he slid into the rock of Astaria as easily as it waswater. He then mentally shaped his green crystal half dragon rockbody shape and flowed out of the rock. He locked his spirit intothe new body and walked around with it. It felt very much like hisfamiliar little green crystal body but he was now twice the size ofa Newman. He modified his eyes to improve his vision.
He tried shapechanging to his various forms and found no problem except that hehad a fixed bulk. I wonder if I can change size if I’m not tied toa fixed body he thought. So he unlocked his spirit allowing it tobe free and mentally shrunk his size until he was the size of hislittle green crystal body. He then mentally increased his size. Itgrew to about 3 times the size of a Newman but no bigger. He tookthis to mean that his spirit volume could be compressed into asmall volume but there was a maximum volume to which it couldexpand.
He readjustedhis size to Newman body size sealed his spirit to it changed to hisrock elemental form and swam back to the control centre stepped outof the wall and changed to his green half dragon body shape.
Using mindspeak to Glammer he said.
‘This is the body form of an Astarian. It is made of Astarianrock. It is very heavy but very robust. Since your spirit is smallin your body you may not be able to grow very large. Do you stillwish to have a body like this?’
‘It looks a bit rough and featureless. Have you seen yourselfin a mirror.’ and she created an illusory mirror in front ofhim.
‘It is a bit crude isn’t it.’ he agreed and beganexperimenting. She suggested various changes and finally agreedthat was much better.
‘Now you look like my dream Astarian.’ she chuckled then ‘Okaylets go and make me a body. Hold my hand and we’ll teleportthere.’
‘How can you teleport out of here when I can’t?’ heasked.
‘I’ve been around for a lot longer than you and picked up afew tricks.’ she laughed and they appeared in the area where he hadexperimented with his new body.
She looked athim seriously.
‘I’m scared. I have never trusted anyone before but I trustyou. I trust you not only with my spirit and my body but with allof the future of our kind. I wish to be with you and fight with youto make our kind known and respected throughout the worlds. I wishto be one with you and Astaria.’ And she lay prone on the groundand closed her eyes.
He put Glammerin a state of hypnosis and was tempted to look around a little. Shehad a few memories locked but otherwise most were free. She had adivinity seed but he didn’t know which one. He unlocked his spiritfrom his own body and used it to fill a second body shape next him.He then moved her spirit into the new rock body but found that itonly filled half of it so he reduced the size of her bodyaccordingly. He left a little of her spirit in her old body sealedoff her new body and woke her up.
‘It feels strange.’ she said using mind speak.
‘I can put you back into your old body if you like but all ofyour mind and memories are now consolidated as a single unit. Youcannot be unmade into a hundred parts. You are now like me, a truehalf dragon.’
‘I have wanted my own body for as long as I can remember.’ andshe created an illusory mirror and began modifying her shape to bewhat she had imagined it to be in her dreams.
‘It’s not as big as I imagined but I think I can fix that,’and she began singing and she started to grow and grow and growuntil she was about twice the size of a Newman then shrank back tohis size.
‘How did you do that?’ he asked.
‘It’s the growth song. It’s a druid song but instead of usingdivine magic I’ve modified it to use our magic. It was in mydivinity seed. I’ve found quite a few druid songs there. They’vebeen quite useful in managing my flock of mothra clones. Will youchange to your Newman shape. I want to see what you looked likewhen you grew up.’
He changed tohis Rob shape and she changed to an attractive Newman female shapevery similar in appearance to her Glammer body but with lessElendari look about it.
‘This was me when I grew up.’ And she walked over and kissedhim tenderly on the lips.
‘Thank you. You have fulfilled all my wishes.’ then she kneltdown and pledged herself to him as a friend, a partner and servantfor life.
He helped herup and hugged into her body and replied ‘You have saved my life,protected me and helped me to get where I am now. If I havefulfilled some of your wishes then it is out of gratitude for whatyou have done for me. You owe me no allegiance but I do want you asa friend and will honour you as a partner.’ And he kissed herback.
