"I know I did, But I can't anymore. What if my wife sees that I'm gone, what would she think?" Robert says and Chloe is once again appalled by Robert's actions.
"I don't give a damn what she thinks, you're not making me walk home at three in the morning. It's your fault I'm here right now, so you have to deal with it and take me home." Chloe furrowed her plucked brows but Robert could only shake his head at what she said. "I can call you late cab or something, But I cannot bring you home myself, it's too risky." Robert says and Chloe huffs.
"Fine, you know what? Fuck you. I thought you said you loved me, if you love me, you would at least do this for me and drop me home. God, fuck, Don't expect me to suck you off the next time you're horny, I don't care if it’s at midnight or if it's at our therapy sessions, I'm done." Chloe stood up for herself and Robert's eyes widened as she called off their deal. "No, What? I do love you, Chloe, I just- let me make up to you, alright?" Robert suggested another sexual favor, this time him being the one to provide it, but it only angered Chloe further.
"Are you serious? God, you make so angry! You can't always use sex as making it up to me! I don't care if I have to be in therapy longer, it's better than being mistreated by you all the time." Chloe huffed, her hand moving up to Robert's face as she slapped him. It made Chloe feel better once she hit him, so she went to do it again, only this time Robert had caught ahold of her wrist before she could come in contact with his face again. "I wouldn't dare do that again," Robert warned her, Her eyes raging with anger as he stared down at her. Chloe scoffed shooting back the simple 'I don't care, what are you going to do about it?' which only angered Robert further as his massive hand strongly back handed Chloe across the face, creating a stinging sensation on her cheek. Chloe was not only shocked that he had just hit her, but she wanted to cry because it was Robert- a man whom claimed he loved her- who had just laid his fingers on her. Chloe yanked her hand out of Robert's hold as her fingers ghosted up to her stinging cheek. "Fuck you," Chloe seethed at him before walking away, slamming the front door on her way out in hopes of his wife waking up and seeing her still lingering on their driveway. As she walked down the asphalt, passing the quiet and moon light emitted neighborhood, she began to cry softly, wiping away her tears. She had been hit only once by a man in her entire life, it was two years ago when she was fifteen and refused to do something that she was uncomfortable with. And right now, as she recalled the memory, it made her think how alike her situation with Robert was to that distinct memory. She would've called Daniel to pick her up but she hadn't had her phone with her and couldn't even charge it since the charger broke, besides Daniel must've been sleeping.
By the time Chloe had reached home, She was quietly heading into her room where she changed out her clothes and into a new pair of panties and an oversized sleeping shirt. She wanted to take a bath, but knowing Abbie would wake up and ask her why she was up at that hour, she couldn't. School was in a couple of hours and as much as she tried to go back to sleep, she couldn't, she still kept thinking about Robert and what he had done to her. She felt like they broke up- even though they weren't dating to begin with- it was strange for her to think about what their relationship was and how it ended. It was simple. Robert would ask for sex, disregard Chloe when they were done, and then try to make it up to her by giving her more sex, only resulting into the cycle continuing. Even though he claimed he loved her, their relationship was based around sex. Not once did he say something cute to her like "You look beautiful today," or notice something small about her like, "Is that new perfume you're wearing?", just basic things that people who liked each other would do. and she thought about that, she couldn't help but think about how Daniel always said things like that to her. He would notice if she had cut her hair, even if it was just a trim, or when she painted her nails a different color, he would always spot that out. Chloe sat on her thinking about Daniel for a long period of time until Josh, Abbie's boyfriend, came in, startling Chloe.
"Where were you?" He asks.
"What do you mean where was I, I was here the whole time. I can't go to sleep, that's why I'm up." Chloe huffed, standing up as she walked over to the door where Josh
