we both burst out laughing.

I always thought sex was serious until now.

Who knew it would be awkward and funny and a little bit messy?

Luca

Not going to lie, that was one of the best and worst blow jobs of my life. Best, because that woman has a phenomenal mouth, and worst, because, well, my load ended up all over me. Next time, I’ll know to be more forceful with my tapping. She seemed very lost in giving me head at the time. Thankfully, we were both able to laugh about it.

“I’m so sorry.” Lilly looks up at me with those bright blue eyes.

“Not the ending I thought was going to happen.” I notice a bit of me drip off her chin. That, right there is every man’s dirty little fantasy.

“I…”

Lilly’s embarrassed about it but starts laughing again.

“Next time I’ll know to tap a little harder.”

“Next time I might learn how to swallow.”

She’s thinking about a next time—I want there to be a next time.

“Um… so I might just go and clean up.” Jumping out of her bed, she hightails it into her bathroom, the door slamming shut behind her. The sound of the shower turns on, and I know that’s my cue to leave. Pulling my underwear up, I grab my jeans and head on back to my bedroom to grab a shower.

The warm water flows over me as memories of earlier filter back through my mind about how responsive she was to my tongue. I think Lilly’s ex was some kind of selfish bastard, who wouldn’t want to bring Lilly to her knees via his tongue. She’s different to the other girls I’ve dated, not that we’re dating.

What are we exactly? Passing the time? Hanging out?

Honestly, I couldn’t imagine any of the models or socialites to have laughed over our sexual mishap. No, they would’ve swallowed me down like pros and would have made a big song and dance over it too. No, those girls are so perfect, superhuman even, they would’ve taken whatever I gave them and asked for more. But I’m coming to realize it’s the dents and kinks in someone that makes them who they are. Having a flat, shiny surface loses its appeal after a while because they all end up looking the same.

It’s refreshing. No, Lilly is refreshing. She is who she is and doesn’t seem to apologize for it. She wears leggings and old T-shirts, her hair is pulled up in a messy, knotty ponytail. She doesn’t wear a lick of makeup, yet she is one of the most beautiful women I’ve seen.

She can never be yours, Luca.

Ah, but she can be Luke’s.

While I am here, I’m going to be Luke. Luke relaxes and has fun and doesn’t worry about the consequences. He has no burdens, his life is great, uncomplicated. I want to be that man for Lilly.

“All clean?” Lilly asks as I walk into the kitchen, the delicious aromas filling my nose. The scene is oddly domestic, and I kind of like it.

“Yes. All clean.” As I pass Lilly, I give her a kiss on the cheek and a tap on her bottom which makes her giggle.

“Who said you could touch me so freely?” She raises an eyebrow as I grab two beers from the fridge.

“Oh, sorry. I didn’t realize it was a one-time kind of thing.” Genuinely, I’m surprised. She looks away, flustered, as she stirs something in the pot.

“I… just… didn’t think you would… you know…” she says nervously.

I want more time with her, especially in bed.

“You can have me for as long as you want,” I tell her.

“For as long as the snowstorm has set in,” she adds, trying to give us an end date.

Shaking my head, I’m being utterly selfish because she’s taking my mind off things back home, and in all honesty, it’s what I need at the moment.

“This snowstorm is going to be around for a while.” Resting my hip against the kitchen bench, I continue, “This is your home. You should be able to stay.” My answer surprises her as she stills what she is doing.

“I’ve crashed your holiday. It’s not fair for you to pay and have a boarder with you.”

“I don’t care about the money.” Her eyes widen at my answer.

“It’s a lot of money.”

I shrug. Money is no issue for me. I crack open the bottles of beer.

“No.” Turning and glaring at me, she says, “I don’t feel right about that. I’ll ask my sister to refund your entire stay.”

“What? No.” I place the bottles of beer on the counter. “Lilly don’t worry about the money.”

She keeps shaking her head. “It doesn’t feel right.”

“You’re cooking a gorgeous dinner for me,” I say, soaking in the smell. “If I were by myself, I’d be living on cheese and whisky for the entire month. So, you’re really doing me a favor.” Those blue eyes narrow trying to work me out. “I’m enjoying your company,” I add, which makes her brow quirk up a little and a smile fall across her lips.

Picking up the bottle of beer, I hand it to her in a kind of peace offering way. She takes it from me, and I raise my bottle to hers. “To being stuck in a snowstorm.” We clink our bottles and take a sip.

“So, Luke…” Lilly starts as she stirs the bubbling concoction in the pot. “Where do you come from?”

I knew she’d want to know more, especially if we’re going to continue spending our time in each other’s beds.

“Italy.” Taking a nervous sip of my beer, Lilly rolls her eyes at me as she continues stirring. “I split my time between Roma and Firenze, sometimes Toscana.”

“Rome, Florence, and Tuscany?” she repeats, turning her head to look at me.

“Si.” I take another sip of my beer.

“What do you do for a living, then? Those are some of the most beautiful cities in the world.”

“I’m a businessman,” I reply, leaving it pretty vague.

She eyes me suspiciously but decides not to press any further.

“Do you
