“Kelley, you are so hard,” she breathed the words out withouteven thinking about what she was saying. “Are you in pain? Does ithurt?”
He couldn’thelp but chuckle. “Dreadfully so.”
“Oh…”
“Aw, Becky, I want you so bad,” he said, rolling her onto herback, holding her hands up above her head.
“Take me. I’m all yours,” she said, eagerly spreading her legsfor him, wrapping them around his trim hips.
“Oh… I want to, I do.” Oh, how he wanted to take her. He was soclose. It wouldn’t take a second to remove his boxers and slipinside of her. She was so wet already. He could feel the warmmoisture of her against him. In fact, he would have taken her rightthen and there, had it not been for the nearby sounds of hishousemates running about in the background, yawning loudly, flushing toilets, not to mention all those other mood killingsounds that went hand in hand with roommates!
“Kelley,” she protested when he eventually pulled away fromher.
“Now is not a very good time,” he said, rolling his eyes at thevery unfortunate sound of one or both of his insensitive malehousemates breaking wind in the background.
Becky couldn’thelp but laugh at the situation. Poor Kelley, he looked somiserable. He sat up and pulled the blanket back, gazing at hernakedness with such a longing on his handsome face.
“It’s not fair, is it?” he said with a half-smile beforecovering her back up.
“No.” She giggled. “It really isn’t.”
“Never mind, eh. We’ll figure something out,” he said, bendingdown and giving her a kiss. “How about some breakfast, love?”
Chapter 39
Let’s just saythat as far as Saturday mornings went, this particular one was byfar, Becky’s favourite. Something was definitely different in theair. Everyone around the House of Goths was in a very good mood.Whether it be the proximity of Christmas break, or perhaps they’dall gotten weary of being cold and detached with each other, Beckycouldn’t quite say. Simply glad to be in their midst again was goodenough for her. Having made her peace with Dorian the other day,and of course, Kelley last night, she was practically flittingaround the house.
If only shecould say the same for Crispin. While he half-smiled at her as sheand Dorian decorated the tree, his smile didn’t quite reach hisdove grey eyes.
For the mostpart, Becky had gotten over her self-conscious feelings concerningthe guys. She’d pretty much convinced herself that she’doverreacted and that she had listened to way too much unsolicitedadvice from Gracie. She didn’t believe Gracie had purposely set outto mess with her head, though. In a way, Becky felt sorry forGracie. But not quite as sorry as she felt for Crispin.
“Wow, that’s a beautiful job of decorating that little tree, you two,” Kell said, sitting back in his chair, sipping coffeewhile Becky and Dorian proudly presented their work.
“Yes, smashing…” Crispin added with lacklustreenthusiasm.
“There, that’s me done,” Dorian said, dusting himself off ofstray strings of tinsel as he stood up and stretched.
“Where are you off to?” Becky teased knowingly.
“I have a lunch date, not that it’s any of your business,”Dorian said, playfully ruffling Becky’s hair.
“Oh? With a particular girl in a Santa hat?” she teasedhim.
“Perhaps.” He winked, turned and left the room.
“Well, I suppose I should get some errands done,” Kelley said, standing up out of his chair.
“Let me get changed and I’ll come with you,” Becky offered, wanting to spend some more alone time with Kelley. She stillcouldn’t get over what had happened last night and what almosthappened this morning before breakfast.
“Actually, love, I’d rather just run out and take care ofthings right quick on my own. If you don’t mind,” Kelley said, effectively shutting her down.
“Oh…” Try as she might, she couldn’t help but be hurt by hissudden need to be on his own. What was it that he had to do? Whydid he have to go alone? Why couldn’t she just come with him? Whywas he always running off by himself?
Glancing atCrispin with an oddly conspiring expression, Kell started to leavethe room. He didn’t make it three steps without Becky catching upto him, literally crashing into his back when he made a sudden stopto check his pockets for his wallet and car keys. “Hey, oops… watchyourself,” he said, catching her.
Having bouncedoff his back like a lovestruck ninny, Becky could only rub herslightly injured nose. “Where… I mean, why can’t I come with you?”she asked with a slight hitch in her voice. Somehow, she’d gottenit into her head that they would be spending the day together, especially after last night.
“Becky…” Seeing the doubt in her eyes nearly broke his resolve.Yet there was something he needed to do that he couldn’t put offanother day. Something he had to take care of himself. Besides, itwas a good day for her to spend some time with Crispin. She’d madeher peace with Dorian and that was great. But Crispin neededspecial attention of which only Becky could give him, especiallynow, following his ugly breakup with Gracie. The inconsolable Gothwas not doing well at all, despite his stoic protests to thecontrary.
“Aw, what’s with the face? Come here, you.” He picked her upoff her feet and rested his head against hers, mirroring herpout.
“I thought… I thought we could…” she sputtered, wrapping herarms around his collar and burying her face into the wonderful softleather of his jacket. She couldn’t quite form the words. Would heturn all aloof on her again? Would he pretend that nothing hadhappened? Just like before when he’d turned away fromher?
“Shh…” He carried her into the kitchen and sat her up on thecounter, standing between her knees. “Listen, the sooner I go, thesooner I can come back,” he said, leaning in and kissing her softlyat first, then hungrily, almost to the point where if he didn’tstop, he’d rip her yoga pants off and take her right there on thekitchen counter. She didn’t help things by literally dry humpinghim, with her hot little thighs tightly wrapped around him. “Fuck…Becky, you’re killing
