gently until he bottoms out, balls resting against my butt. He plumps the other breast as I adjust to his intrusion. I wrap my legs around his waist, squeezing him tight. He pulls back excruciatingly slow until just the tip remains inside. He sets a slow rhythm that drives me insane until I’m drumming my heels against his ass.

“Kellen, faster.”

He pistons his hips faster until the only sound in the room is the sound of our bodies crashing together amid my cries of pleasure. He adds a swivel at the end of his strokes that presses his pubic bone against my clit, sending sparks of electricity through me until I explode like a firework. His fangs extend and he buries them in my neck, the pain only adding to the pleasure. The world fades around me as I crest, body aflame in ecstasy. When I come back to earth, Kellen is lapping at the marks he’s left on my neck.

“You’re mine now.”

“Good,” I purr.

“It won’t be long before you shift for the first time.”

“Tonight?”

“Or in the morning.” Our lips meet in a gentle kiss before he rolls to the side, gathering me close. “Rest now, you’ll need it.” Head resting on his chest, I drift off to sleep.

The next time I wake, the moonlight filters through the blinds. Rubbing my skin, the itchiness doesn’t fade. Moving back the covers, I stand up, legs aching.

“Babe?” Kellen asks groggily. “How do you feel?”

“Restless, itchy.”

“It’s time. Let’s go outside.”

“Now?” I squeak.

“Yeah, better to shift outside than tear up anything in here.” Naked, he leads me out the door. Crickets chirp around us, and a musty smell floats on the breeze.

“What is that smell?” I cover my nose.

“Beaver. There’s a creek behind the cabin. They like to build dams back there.”

“I can smell a beaver?”

“All of your senses will be heightened. Hearing, eyesight, smell.”

“I could do without the smell. Those things stink.”

“You’ll get used to it,” he chuckles. “You ready?”

“What do I need to do?”

“She’s there in your mind. Let her come to you.” A presence makes itself known when I block out everything. My body jerks and a pain starts in my arms, traveling throughout my body.

“Don’t fight it. Let it happen,” Kellen encourages. When I quit questioning what is happening, the pain fades as my muscles stretch and lengthen. Fur sprouts on my arms in beautiful orange and black stripes. I land on all fours, bombarded by my new senses.

“My god you’re beautiful,” Kellen whispers in wonder. Turning my head, I chuff at him. “Want to run?” His shift is swift, then he is standing beside me. Just like in real life, he dwarfs me. Rubbing my scent into his fur, I take off at a trot. We run and pounce throughout the woods until I’m worn out. When we arrive back in front of the cabin, my change back to human is much quicker.

“That was amazing,” awe fills my voice.

“No, you’re amazing, my mate.” He draws me close, his woodsy scent deeper filling my head causing me to purr. “I love you Molly.”

“I love you too Kellen.”

Angelique

“Angelique, did you hear a word I just said?” I jumped slightly at the touch of Mrs. Flint's hand. Blinking up at her I tried to figure out what I had missed. “I didn’t think so. I said I’m heading out, I’ll lock the front door on my way out, don’t stay too long tonight. You spend too much time in those books, you’re young, go live a little.” Pushing my glasses back up the bridge of my nose, I gave her a sad smile. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to go out and live, I just needed to find the answers I was looking for before I could do that. She just didn’t understand, she hadn’t seen the things I had, didn’t feel the need to prove herself like I did.

“I’ll try Mrs. Flint this newest acquisition might just be the key to my entire research. I found it online through an antiquities dealer in Greece, where they believe werewolves originated. This could be the breakthrough I’ve been waiting for.” Mrs. Flint gave me the same exasperated look before rolling her eyes heavenward. It was the same look I’d gotten for years. I should be used to it by now, but I felt like I was close to something. I wanted to tell her to just wait and see I was going to prove her and the rest of the world wrong, but I didn’t.

“Angelique, you will never find a man if all you ever do is research creatures that don’t exist. You’re missing out on the best dating years of your life, and for what, make believe.” Mrs. Flint lamented. She wasn’t the only one who thought my research was ridiculous, or a waste of time, but I knew the truth. I’d known the truth for years, but no one would listen to me about that night. The night that changed everything for me, forever. The night I saw something I wasn’t supposed to see, the night I saw a man turn into a wolf. Just as my thoughts drifted back to the horrific night Mrs. Flint interrupted them.

“Just make sure you don’t stay all night again at least, you about scared Beatrice half to death when she found you snoring back here last time.” I tried to hide my laugh, but it came out as a snort as I remembered my co-worker screaming like a banshee was after her when she came across me sleeping in the back room of the library. It wasn’t my fault the power saving lights turned off and left me in the dark until she walked into the room.

“Alright Mrs. Flint, I promise no more sleepovers. Have a good night and
