“You are more fucking trouble than you look. I hope the new guy can break your spirit before he breaks your fat body,” he growls and then walks to the window mumbling.
“It could have been me and you, we could have been a family, but you had to ignore my advances.” His mumbling continues as I try to figure out what advances he is talking about, the man has bullied me relentlessly.

“My fucking mate is in that god damn house, I can fucking smell her, fuck Axl, I can fucking feel her begging me to rescue her,” I growl as we all sit around the table. My cat is begging to go and rescue her, but I am fighting to follow orders.
“DoRight, we have no fucking proof that she is there,” he yells back at me as Slash raises his hand.
“I have visual proof that there is someone in the house. While you guys were all flapping your dicks in the wind, I watched the surroundings. One of the bedroom’s windows had what looked like a hand in the window. I do have to admit though, if DoRight is claiming his mate is in that building then we need to take that to heart, he knows his mate.” I feel my body start to relax, finally someone that believes me. I look at him and nod.
“Okay so then we need to coordinate efforts to get whoever is in there, and Etienne, I am not assuming it’s her, I’m taking this as a human female needing rescued.” Axl levels me with his ‘don’t fuck with me’ look. I stare at him; he knows when we find a mate that we connect not only on an emotional level but deeper.
I nod my head as I sit down in my spot, and the discussions start going around me. They are figuring out how to get whoever is in there out and I can feel my mate slipping further and further away. I am so worried that things are going to fall apart, and my mate will be gone before I even had her.
“Alright, go out, get laid, get drunk or smoke weed whatever y’all have to do to relax, because at nine tonight we ride,” Axl barks out before he bangs the gavel and brothers start to leave.
I stand and head toward the door when Axl says, “It wasn’t that I didn’t believe she was in there.”
“Pres, trust me, I get what you are thinking, but I can feel her slipping away from me and my lynx is begging for me to go. I hurt right now in here.” I pound my fist over my chest where my heart is. “And I don’t know anything I can do to make it easier, other than finding her. I am going to take Rhys to my room, open a bag of ketchup chips and watch my cartoons. I know that I need to shift at some point, but I will wait as long as I have to.” I turn and leave the room, making it to the common room as things start ramping up. I spot Rhys with his head down and walk over, tapping him on the shoulder and directing him to my room.
“We are going to eat all the chips my grand-mémère sent me and watch Dudley DoRight cartoons. Is that cool with you, petit homme?” I have to remember that he doesn’t understand French, because by the look on his face I just confused him.
I smile at him showing him the bag of chips and turning on the television. I can’t wait until these two are in my life permanently.
“Rhys, I promise I will find your mom, if it’s the last thing I do. You have family here no matter what happens.” I turn my head and watch the cartoon as I internally try to calm my raging beast.
“Pres, I am running this. I need to shift and I need to run or the rage is going to take over and I won’t be good to anyone,” I whisper to him as we stand in the hall.
He nods his head and motions for me to go out the back door.
“LaChance, make sure you are calm when we get to the meet point, I don’t need any blood spilled, although if it’s Mayor Burnout’s blood I may join you.” He smirks just as I disappear into the backwoods.
As I reach the first tree, I take off my cut and hang it on a low hanging branch, then taking my boots, socks, jeans and t-shirt off I run deeper into the woods.
The first crack of my bones sends me to the mossy ground, just as I raise my head and let out a yowl as the big cat takes over my body.
I get up on all fours and shake the leaves off before slowly walking the forest.
I have been walking for half an hour when I catch a familiar scent that sends my mind and body into an angry rage. My mate is close; I can smell her and feel her.
I sit in place and raise my nose into the air, her scent is stronger but it’s getting further away. I screech and start following the smell.
I follow along the road and spot a white Rolls Royce Phantom and immediately know that’s the car. As I run along trying to get in front of the car, I let out a scream loud enough that I hope my brothers can hear me and find us both.
Before I make a move to cut off the limo, I hear the loud pipes of the Harley Davidson bikes that my brothers all drive and run in a different direction to cut the car off and protect my life in the process. I hope the driver has some sort
