“Sold her?”
“He sold me, too,” I admitted. “I thought you were my buyer coming to collect your possession.
“If you had a cell phone, why didn’t you call for help?” he probed.
“Huh?”
“You said you hadn’t been able to reach her.”
“Oh!” I smacked my forehead. “Telepathically. She’s my twin sister.”
“I see. Let’s go get some of this asshole’s clothes and get out of here,” he said, his voice holding little to no emotion.
“What about his body?”
“I’ll have someone take care of it.”
I don’t know why I decided to trust him, but I did. I quietly followed him and put on the clothes he gave me to wear. I did not know where we were or how far away my liger and me were from the pitiful excuse we called home. Honestly, there wasn’t anything worth returning for, it was all materialistic things.
“We get on our feet, and then we find Tatianna, okay?” I proposed a deal to my liger, hoping she thought it was a promising idea.
“Whatever gets us out of here, Trista. Just move your feet and follow him.”
Once we were in agreement, I did exactly as she had instructed. It seemed a little too naive to follow him without knowing anything about him, though. “What’s your name?”
“Loco. You?”
“Trista?”
“Are you not sure of your name?”
“Yes. It’s yours that I’m not sure about. Loco?”
“Yes. Loco. It’s my nickname.”
“Oh, okay. In that case, salutations,” I uneasily replied.
“Salutations?” His eyebrow arched as he cocked his head to the side.
“I couldn’t say it was a pleasure to meet you, or it’s nice to meet you. I didn’t know what to say. I kind of choked.” I shrugged.
His upper lip pulled into a smirk, and a soft chuckle left his mouth. “Guess you’re right. Salutations it is then.” He held his hand out for mine and then eyed my arm again. “Might be a good idea if you showered before we left. I need to make a few calls anyway.”
“You’re probably right,” I agreed with him. I had just killed someone, and I already had a bogus felony against me.
“Technically speaking, I killed him, you’re innocent. No way your tiny body could have done that to a man,” my liger pointed out as we searched for the bathroom of the house. “So, get rid of the evidence and get the fuck out of Dodger’s house. See what I did there?”
“Mmhmm.” A half-smile touched my lips, and I rolled my eyes.

Loco
“Just what in the fuck are we supposed to do with her? She’s the reason we’ve been so fucked in the head.” We eyed her sleeping body across the room.
“What do you mean?” I stood up from the couch and crossed the space to pull the cover off the back of the loveseat, covering her.
“Why do you think you got so defensive over her?”
“Because she was standing in her own shit?”
“Bullshit, and you know it. You fucking imprinted on her as soon as you looked into those light green eyes. Just as I did.”
“Shut up...” I paused before questioning, “Is that what this is?”
“Notice we haven’t been as big of a dick since she’s been around us?”
“Maybe.”
“Uh huh. I rest my case.”
“Loco,” I answered my phone on the first ring, hoping the sound didn’t wake her.
“Jackson and Greaser are on clean up, and I have Snoop doing what he does best. How you holding up?” Tyson asked, genuine concern in his voice.
“I’m good.”
“How’s the girl?”
“Sleeping.”
“What are you going to do about her?”
“Fuck if I know, brother. I think I imprinted on her, at least that’s what my leopard says.”
He whistled loudly in my ear. “Better you than me.”
“Shit, we all know you have your eye on the new bartender. What’s her name? Airy or some bimbo name like that?”
“No. It’s Arianna.”
“Eh heh. You never take the time to learn a bitch’s name. You’re Tyson.” I exaggerated his name and laughed.
“Think whatever you want, but don’t forget the patch in party for Griller and Buzz tomorrow night at Chaotic Twister.”
“I’ll be there, Boss. You know it.”
“Better be.”
“You have my word.”

Trista
I had been staying with Loco for longer than I planned. It was only supposed to be until I got on my feet, but that hadn’t happened yet. Maybe I was impatient, but I had hoped someone would have found out something about Tatianna by now. Snoop, one of Loco’s brothers, was supposed to be looking into her disappearance, but that was the only detail I overheard. When I asked Loco about it, he basically confirmed they were searching but didn’t give me any more information.
I’d never been around a motorcycle gang before, but from what I gathered, most of the women around them were sold for sex. That was what they did at Chaotic Twister. No one came out and said that, but you’d have to be an idiot to think otherwise.
“Do you want coffee?”
“Huh?” I jumped at the sound of Loco’s voice and was suddenly annoyed. “I’ve been here for… How long have I been here?”
“Three weeks.”
“Yeah. Three weeks. I don’t know your name, and I’m living with you. Also, I don’t know anything going on about my sister. And while we are on the subject of women, I know there are prostitutes at your club.”
“Anything else?” He grinned, continuing to pour coffee into one mug and then grabbed the second to fill it as well.
“What?”
“Do you want to know anything else?”
“You mean you’re not pissed?”
“Why would I be?”
“Because I’m a female and I’m questioning you?”
“Wow!” He slowly blinked, pushing the mug across the table with his fingers. “Caffeinate your fucking self. Shit.” He shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose.
“What’s up your ass today?” The liger yawned.
“I want answers is all. I’m tired of not knowing what’s going on and sitting around this fucking house.”
“We could have done it my way. I offered
