“I was just borrowing it from adealership. I wanted to see yourreaction. It’s going back, I assureyou.”
Roz smiled and buckled her knees asif she was relieved. “Good,” she said, and they all laughed.
“Then if that’s not it, where’sMommy’s gift?” asked Jackie. She wasalways Roz’s greatest defender.
“Come on,” Mick said and pressed thebutton that opened one of the larger garage doors. Roz rubbed her handstogether. She could hear the voice ofthat announcer from the Price is Right in her head. A new car! he used to love tosay. Because she was certain that wasthe gift Mick was about to give to her.
But she was wrong again. Because this time, when the garage door slidall the way open, she saw what had to be the most beautiful white-and-baby-blueyacht she’d ever seen. And the name onit made her place her hand on her heart. Miss Roz, was the name of the beautiful vessel.
“Wow,” all of the children weresaying.
“Now that’s what I call a gift!” saidJoey.
Roz looked at Mick. “That’s mine?”
Mick was sincere this time, whichmeant that gift was the real deal. “It’s all yours, Rosalind,” he said. “Happy birthday.”
Roz didn’t hesitate. She ran into Mick’s arms. “Thank you, baby,” she said, with tears inher eyes. And she kissed him.
“Get a room!” Joey said, and they alllaughed.
And as they kissed, Teddy glancedover at Gloria. “Where’s Oz?” hewhispered to her.
“Still in Florida, I guess.” Then she looked at him. “Why?”
“Do I need to go down there and setthe brother straight?” Teddy asked.
Gloria smiled. “No,” she said.
Mick and Roz stopped embracing. “It’s beautiful,” Roz said, as they all beganwalking around it.
“We’ll sail the seven seas together, babe,” Mick said. “Just you and me.”
“And me,” Jackie said.
“And me,” said Duke.
“And me,” said Joey.
“And me,” said Teddy and Nikki inunison.
“And me,” said Gloria.
Mick and Roz smiled. “And them,” Mick said, and they all laughedagain. And then Mick and Roz werelooking into each other’s eyes again, and they were kissing again.
“Get a room!” Joey said again.
“I never thought I’d think of Dad asromantic,” Teddy said to Gloria.
“I think it’s great to love somebodyso completely,” she said, “and they love you back.”
Ted looked at her, but Gloria movedaway, over to Roz, to hug her neck and congratulate her again.
“You’re a lucky lady,” she said toRoz as they hugged.
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Later that morning, the family hadbreakfast together and then went their separate ways. Gloria took the twins to the mall, Joey wentto visit some lady friend of his, Teddy went to the docks, and Nikki went tothe office at Sinatra Industries where she worked as a senior executive, tocatch up on some paperwork. Mick madehis way to his huge home gym for another workout before he had to hit the roadagain. And Roz, after she had cleaned upthe kitchen, went in the gym too.
Mick was sweating profusely already,as he continued to bench press heavy weights without a spotter.
“I told you about doing that, Mick,”Roz said when she entered their gym and saw him. “That’s not safe and you know it.”
“When have I ever been safe,” Micksaid, as he continued to do exactly as he was doing.
Roz rolled her eyes and got on thetreadmill. “Talking to you sometimes islike talking to a brick wall.”
“No, it’s not,” Mick said,bench-pressing four-fifty. “A brick wallcan knock you out. I haven’t knocked youout once.”
Roz smiled as she walked thetreadmill. “I dare you to try it,” shesaid.
Mick lifted twice more, and thenracked the barbells. He was so exhaustedhe just laid there, his legs on either side of the bench. And he watched his wife, her back to him, walkthat treadmill in her shorts and jersey. “Took that shower yet?” he asked her as he stared at her ass.
“I will after I finish back here,”Roz said.
“You aren’t going to work up much ofa sweat slow as you’re walking.”
“I like my pace, thank you verymuch.”
“Come over here,” Mick said.
Roz glanced back at him. “For what?” she asked him.
“So I can put something in you toshower off,” Mick said.
“Ooh, gross!” Roz said and laughed.
But when she glanced back again, shecould tell Mick wasn’t playing at all. Sheglanced down and saw that he wasn’t just aroused, he had a full erection. She shook her head. “You and your appetite,” she said. “If sex was food, you’d be one of those sixhundred pound people on TV.”
“But if I’m hungry,” Mick said,“aren’t you suppose to feed me?”
Roz smiled and glanced back at himagain. Just as she did, he slipped hisshorts down, revealing his full arousal. “Come feed me, Roz. I’m hungry for you.”
And just like that, Roz was hungrytoo. She got off of the treadmill andwalked over to him. She reached beyondhim, pressed the button that locked the gym, and then she smiled and knelt downto him. “What do they call thosepeople,” she asked as she took his penis in her hand, “that always quench thehunger of those fat folks?”
“Ooh,” Mick said as she began lickinghim. “Enablers,” he said.
“That’s it,” Roz said between licks.“That’s what you take me for? Anenabler?”
But all Mick could do was oohand aah as Roz continued to lick and suck him. And when she placed his rod in her mouth, andwent all the way down on him, he couldn’t take it. He leaned half way up, pulled her up thelength of his body, pulled her shorts down, and entered her. He couldn’t wait a moment longer. He entered her and began making sweet love toher.
She laid her head on his chest andadored the way he was doing her. Mick loved it too. So much so that he wrapped her into his bigarms and began stroking her extremely slowly. He didn’t want it to end. She didthat to him.
“Thank you, Mick,” Roz said as he didher.
“For this? I should be thanking you.”
“For coming back to the States to bewith me,” Roz said.
Mick held her tighter. “I would not have missed your birthday forthe world,” he said. “You know that, baby.”
Roz smiled and rested even more againsthim. There were more rumors than shecould count swirling
