Remembering how he’d feasted on her as she sat on that shower bench so many months ago, she pushed him onto it. He gazed up at her with a questioning look.
“Last time we were in here, you proved you were a gentleman. You’re about to find out I’m a gentlewoman,” she declared.
She kissed the tip of him and slipped it into her mouth while she caressed the precious pouch below it. The one that would give them the child they wanted.
“Indeed, you are,” he said as his head lolled against the tiles.
Her mouth took all of him, milking away his pain and sadness. His face contorted, and she couldn’t tell if the moisture on his cheeks was tears or shower water. After a couple of minutes, he lifted her and placed her in the same spot. Her thighs trembled as she opened them. Drops of shower water struck her swollen nipples, creating an ache so deep inside her, it felt timeless.
With tender lips on her swollen folds, he told her he worshipped her and that he was sorry for so many things. For letting Jack come between them. For breaking up with her. Most of all, for not telling her he was alive, hiding in a Louisiana swamp.
His impossibly gentle tongue brought tears to her own eyes, making her gasp and dig her nails into his solid shoulders. Before her intensity reached its peak, though, he turned off the water, stacked several big, soft towels on the bathroom floor, and laid her on them. While mist swirled through the air, he parted her thighs and slid inside her, filling her with his love.
And their new life.
Gentleness flew out the window as their bodies demanded more and more of each other. She could never get enough of him, taking him so deep he battered her core with mind-blowing sensation. He came with a rebel yell loud enough to blow the roof off, pushing her over the edge as her own release tore her up. If not for the towels, their passion would have given them enough injuries to send them to the hospital.
Because they had so much lost time to make up for—but, thankfully, the rest of their lives to do it in.
