“Of course, sir.”
Jackson gestures to a chair at the table. “Please sit. How long have you been with the estate?”
“Coming up on ten years. When I started, we were owned by a large pharmaceutical company. Ms. Prentis bought us last year, and then she sold to you. We didn’t know of the sale until just a few days ago.”
“I don’t think it was planned,” Jackson says, but he doesn’t expand.
After we finish our breakfast, Mr. Crier leads us around the palatial property.
When we arrive at the estate’s master bedroom, I’m amazed by its size and location. It has a 360-degree view, and 270 degrees is all ocean.
“Don’t get me wrong, the rooms where you put us are beautiful, but this is what I was expecting,” Jackson says.
“My apologies, Mr. Graham,” he says. “We should be through with the renovations in a few weeks.”
We hear the helicopter approaching before we see it. And Mr. Crier ends the tour just as a helicopter touches down.
The pilot extends his hand. “Mitchell Matthews. Welcome to Hawaii.”
Jackson nods. “Thank you. You ready to show us around?”
“Yes, sir. The Halona Moana is the largest independently owned estate on the island, and the second largest in the state. We’ll take an aerial tour of the grounds, and then I’ll give you a tour of the island. The property runs adjacent to the Haleakala National Park, so we’ll see the island’s famous volcano. You’ll also enjoy the Hana rainforest, the North Shore, and I promise a view of Jurassic Rock. That should take two hours. My understanding is that I’m to drop you at the Kahului Heliport, where your team is picking you up.”
“Yes, that’s the plan,” Jackson confirms.
I didn’t arrange this tour, and I’m honestly a bit surprised he did. But I’m okay with it. I do like a surprise now and again.
We’re set up with safety gear, and we both get into the backseat of the helicopter.
“Have you ever been in a helicopter?” Mitchell asks.
“I haven’t, but I’m super excited,” I say.
“I have a few times,” Jackson says.
We lift off, and we communicate with headphones and microphones as Mitchell points out the property from the air. The estate sits atop a point, with cliffs that lead to a sandy beach. He identifies several curlew nesting sites, and I’m proud to know we’re helping bird species that are close to going extinct. We pass over the adjacent Haleakala volcano and then continue on to see the rest of Maui.
When we set down two hours later, it seems like we just left.
Chapter 14
Jackson
Kahului is the largest town on the island, and the shopping district is lush with greens and flower bushes and full of tourists and locals wandering in and out of the stores and open-air markets. Corrine and I hold hands and walk in and out of several stores. I chuckle when she stops at a tourist stop and picks up macadamia nuts, a carved wood plumeria key chain, and a sticker that says Hawaii.
She looks at me and shrugs. “I’m not sure when I’ll have the chance to come back.”
She’s welcome to come to the house anytime she wants. “I’m hoping we can do this more,” I tell her. “You know, escape from San Francisco and hide here atop the cliffs, enjoying the beautiful breeze of the ocean and making love all night.”
She smiles, but I can see her mind working overtime.
I spot a beautiful floral dress in a small shop window that would look spectacular on Corrine. It takes some work, but she finally agrees to try it on. I explain to the saleswoman while she’s in the dressing room, “If the dress fits, I’d like to buy it. She’ll be reluctant about this, so here’s my credit card and please deliver it to the Halona Moana Estate.”
“Of course. It would be my pleasure,” she says.
When Corrine steps out of the dressing room, my heart skips a beat. The dress in the light blue sets off the beautiful golden tones in her skin, and the red hibiscus flower print sets off the golden highlights in her hair. The tight bodice accents her luscious breasts, and the full skirt gives me just a teasing peek at her glorious long legs.
My cock is absolutely alert. I knew it would look great on her. “What do you think?”
She leans in and just above a whisper says, “It’s over a thousand dollars.”
“It’s worth it. You look stunning,” I assure her.
She turns and looks at herself in the mirror, studying it carefully. She sighs in frustration. “I can’t. I can’t afford it.”
I don’t understand at first. “I’m happy to buy it for you.”
She shakes her head. “I don’t want you to buy it for me. I can buy my own clothes. It’s a beautiful dress, and it does look good on me, but it’s not practical outside of Hawaii. For that price, it should be something I’ll be able to wear a lot.”
Once she’s dressed, she hands the saleswoman the dress and thanks her.
I give the saleswoman a nod, and I know she’ll have it delivered later today.
As we walk out, I grasp Corrine’s hand. “I don’t want you to think about money on this trip.”
She smiles at me. “I understand your position, but for most of my life, I didn’t have to stand on my own. Now I don’t want to be dependent on others.”
“I hear you, but I want to spoil you.” I want to own her at work, home, and in bed. But for now, I’ll settle for owning her in bed.
“How about you buy me some
