their arms, nestled between them, loved and happy. It might be different for you. I’ve never had anyone who cares for me, at least, not that I can remember. Now to have two men of my own? It’s as though a dream I never knew I had has come true. Will you be all right?”

“I honestly don’t know but, at least, I won’t have to worry about him coming home drunk and having to lock him out of the spring house. He wanted to do vile things to me, like what he wanted you to do.” She shuddered.

“What he wanted to do wasn’t vile, he was. Find some happiness, Sally. You deserve it,” Elizabeth said.

Caelan joined them, wrapping his arm around Lizzie. “Aye, Sally. Be happy, if ye can, and thank you again. Ye didna have to worry about yer husband. We’ll take care of it.”

CAELAN

They watched her as she walked to the path down the side of the hill and waved as the sheriff’s widow rode away.

“Jesus, Gavan. If his wife had not shot him…”

“Lizzie would have been fine. We weren’t far behind, and our bride had the good sense to play him along. I’m not sure how she’s going to feel about sucking cock for a while, but she’s strong, and she does enjoy it.”

“Ye think we should let her be tonight?”

Gavan shook his head. “No, I fear if we let her get it in her head that she did something wrong, or that we don’t want her because of it, it could be months, or years, before she gets over it.”

Caelan bristled. “But if that’s what it takes for her to heal?” he growled.

“Calm yerself, Cae. We’ll give our girl whatever she needs for as long as she needs it. But she’s going to need us to be strong for her, as well. Ye do know she had no choice, right?”

“Do ye want me to punch ye in the nose again?” he snarled.

“Why would you punch Gav in the nose? Again?” she asked, joining them.

Gavan hung his head. “He had every right to punch me. When I found ye gone, I thought ye had run away…”

She surprised them both by laughing. “I’ll bet you were furious,” she said, trying not to giggle, but failing. She turned to Caelan, “Did he threaten to beat me within an inch of my life?”

Caelan started to chuckle while Gavan glowered. “Nay, I think what he said he was planning to welt yer pretty arse and then fuck ye until ye couldn’t walk.”

Lizzie approached Gavan and wrapped her arms around him. “That sounds nice, except for the welting my ass part. But the fucking me until I can’t walk sounds lovely. Would ye carry me around, then, husband?” she said mocking his brogue.

“Yer Scottish brogue is getting very good, wife. Would ye really like to be fucked so hard ye canna walk the next day?”

Caelan’s heart clutched when he saw the fear flash across her face. She was still clinging to Gavan, who had his arms around her. Caelan joined them wrapping his arms around her from the back. “It’s okay Lizzie, we can let ye have some time.”

Gavan nodded.

She shook her head. “I don’t want time. I want both of you. I want to know that seeing me on my knees sucking Gutherie’s…”

“Shh, Lizzie. We both told ye how proud of ye we are. Had ye not had the courage and tenacity to do what ye did, we’d have lost ye,” crooned Gavan.

“He’s right, lass. I didna know many women who would have had your strength and cunning to buy us the time we needed to find you,” said Caelan, softly nuzzling her neck and bringing his hands up to cup her breasts, kneading them.

She wriggled her derriere into his groin as his cock started to swell. He and Gavan weren’t just telling her what she wanted to hear. She’d shown such bravery in dealing with Gutherie. He was so very proud to call her his wife. He could feel Gavan squeezing her buttocks.

“Aye, lass, I have rarely known anyone, man or woman, who could have done what ye did. Ye deserve better than me to have doubted ye. Can ye find it in your heart to forgive me?” Gavan whispered.

Caelan knew that confession had cost him and prayed that Lizzie did as well.

Lizzie landed a hard smack on Gavan’s buttocks. “What is it ye always tell me? Once I’ve paid the consequences for my behavior and have been forgiven, that’s the end of it. Well, I’ve forgiven ye, and I expect that to be the end of it.”

Gavan chuckled, lust underlying his tone. “Have ye, now? I think, Cae, our bride’s getting a bit too big for her britches again.”

“Best we get her back to our camp and get her out of them,” Caelan agreed.

“Ye take her. I’ll deal with the sheriff…”

“No,” said Lizzie. “I don’t want to be apart from either of you.”

Gavan kissed the tip of her nose. “Nay. It’s not something I want you to see or be involved with. Ye go with Cae and be a good girl. If we’re to leave tomorrow, there’s work to be done at the camp, and ye can help him with it.”

“But you won’t be long?” she asked.

“Nay, lass, I’ll be back and, then, Cae and I will show ye how very much ye are loved by yer husbands.”

“Come, Lizzie. Let Gavan do what needs doing. He’ll be along right quick now that he knows yer wanting some lovin’ from both of us.”

He led her to his horse and helped her mount, swinging up behind her and nodding to Gavan.

GAVAN

Gavan waited until they were well away before taking his pistol and putting a bullet through the same hole as Sally. He tied the sheriff’s body over his horse and then found a likely spot to stage the sheriff’s death. When he was satisfied with the outcome, he turned the horse
