confusion grows as he takes a step back from me then, to my utter amazement, he drops to one knee and pulls out a small box from his pocket. My jaw drops as he flips it open to reveal a beautiful diamond ring.
“Jasmine Tate,” he starts, “I owe you everything. From the moment you walked into that auditorium and auditioned for this role, I knew you were going to change my life, and you did. This past year with you has been the best, and I’m hoping you want to spend many more years like this by my side. Will you marry me?”
“Clark.” I cover my mouth with my hands to hide my sob. “Yes! Yes, of course, I will!”
Loud applause erupts around us, but I don’t pay it any mind as Clark slides the ring onto my finger and pulls me into a tight hug.
“There you have it, folks, movie premier and an engagement…”
The voices around me fade away as I press my lips to Clark’s.
“I love you so much,” he murmurs into the kiss.
“I love you too,” I reply. “So much.”
