„Oh my god, we`re getting married!” I screech, and he bursts out laughing.
„Can I have one of my cupcakes now?” he asks
„You can have all the cupcakes.”
„I`m holding you to that.”
He picks one up and bites into it with relish. The absolute bliss on his face makes me even more happy if that`s possible.
„These are fucking fantastic, perfect in every way,” he says before taking another huge bite.
„I`m glad you like them.”
„So good,” he moans.
My phone rings, and when I pick it up, I see it`s Gwen. Perfect timing, I can`t wait to give her my news
„G, I`m so glad you called. You`re never going to guess what...”
„Sophie, I am through with your brother. From now on, he`s just my best friend`s brother.”
„What happened, what did he do?”
„He just made it clear I`m nothing to him, so I`ll do the same with him. I`m moving on, I`m done waiting around for his stupid ass, and I need your help.”
„What do you need?”
„I need you to set me up on a blind date. Max always says his teammates think Ema and I are cute, so maybe one of them wants to take me out on a date.”
What the hell did my stupid brother do?
„G, won`t you tell me what happened?”
„I`ll tell you over a glass of wine. Can I come over, I don`t want to stay at my place right now.”
„Of course, honey.”
„Thanks. I`ll be there in half an hour.”
I end the call and look over to Max.
„What happened?” he asks before attacking another cupcake.
„Sammy fucked up, that`s what.”
