Alex shrugs. “I don’t know. But I’ll find out.”
“I can do that.”
“You’re mine, Mia. When I said I’m not sharing you, I meant it. Leave Cole to the whores and the club.” I nod. “We’ll collect some of your stuff on the way back to Demon’s Lair.”
“I can’t just move in like that.”
“Sure, you can.”
I shake my head. “I can’t leave Poppy on her own. Not with this stalker stuff going on. And I need to talk to Hank.”
“Things with the stalker have calmed down. It was probably just some kid who’s moved on. Besides, she’s got Data and Pond staying at her place.” Alex leers, “Hank will have to accept you’re a big girl who can do what she wants.” He wiggles his eyebrows. “Now let’s get back to what you’re good at.” He leans closer as he pushes me to the floor. “Besides. I thought you wanted to see me naked.”
I reach over and push his cut free of his arms. “I do.”
Alex sniggers as his head lowers. “What’s your dirtiest fantasy.”
Chapter 16
Mia: Baton Rouge
It’s the heat of the body lying next to me which wakes me. And as I roll onto my back, I blink and stare at the ceiling. The last time Alex and I had sex; I ran before he woke. This morning there is no running away. My body still hums from his touch, and as I wiggle, there is a slight twinge at the top of my legs. Alex had used my body insatiably during the night. Not that I’m complaining as I enjoyed every moment of it. Every touch, caress and kiss had driven me insane, making me beg for more. For Alex I was a wanton hedonist and I have no intention of running away. The slight snore coming from beside me has my stomach in knots and I glance at the body laid naked before me. My palms grow clammy as the pulse in my pussy springs to life. His dirty blond hair calls out to my fingers. The slope of his bare shoulders cry for my lips. The tapered line of his ink drenched back to his waist demands the touch of my tongue. The tattoo on his butt cheek has me smiling. Unlike TJ, who likes to prank and joke, Alex is a solemn person and to see an ink of Elmer Fudd wearing a cut and holding a gun has me shaking my head. My fingers itch to move the bed sheet lower as it rests below the tattoo. Alex and I were lovers before, yet this is the first time I have seen and studied his nakedness. The buzz of my cellphone stops me from perusing Alex any further and I scramble out of bed as I scan the room for my purse. Finding it on a chair near the window.
Cole’s face flashes at me as the cell continues ringing and I glance at the bed. Another snore fills the room and as I answer the call, I open the glass doors and stop onto the balcony. The street is alive with traffic and people scurrying about their daily business.
“Cole.”
“Morning, Mia. Look, I owe you an apology for abandoning you yesterday. How about we meet up for breakfast?”
My stomach twists as I half listen for Alex shuffle on the bed and close the glass door for a little privacy. “I can’t make it, Cole.” I close my eyes as I turn my face to the sky. I blame the heat of the sun for the red hue blanketing my cheeks.
“If you’re pissed about yesterday. I can make it up to you.”
Pissed, I am in a state of post sex euphoria and I haven’t thought of Cole since I walked into the hotel with Alex. “I’m not in Noir Valley.”
The line falls silent, then Cole’s voice is at my ear. “Where are you?”
“Baton Rouge.”
“Maybe we could have dinner when you get back. I’ll pick you up at seven.”
I lick my lips. Cole is unaware of my budding relationship with Alex. He needs to hear it from me before it hits Noir Valley’s grapevine. “I’ll call you when I get back.”
“Mia.”
“Yeah.”
“I am sorry about last night. Shit, you’ve got to let me make it up to you.”
“There’s nothing to make up for. I’ll see you when I return to Noir Valley.” I end the call before Cole answers and as I open the door to the suite, Alex is sitting on the bed. His gaze on me as I stroll into the room.
“Who was the call from?”
“Cole.”
Alex frowns as he rises and scratches behind his ear. “What did he want?”
“Breakfast.” My gaze drops to his hardening cock and I lick my lips. Cole is not the only one who wants breakfast.
“Did you tell him you were too busy for breakfast?”
I shrug, “kinda. I told him I was here.”
On his way to the bathroom, Alex halts then turns to look at me. “Did you tell him you were with me?”
“No.” Alex’s coldness sends a chill through me. “When are we returning to Noir Valley?”
“After breakfast. I’ve a job to do.”
I follow Alex into the bathroom and watch as he steps into the corner shower. My gaze glances over to the tub. I would love one more soak in that monstrosity, especially with Alex. My gaze shifts to the shower and slipping the bathrobe off, I join him as the robe forms a pool on the floor.
Alex smiles, welcoming me with open arms and his lips meet mine. The shower cubical is not large and soon Alex’s lips slip from mine to slide down to my throat as his fingers glide up my spine and a sigh escapes me as I arch my throat back and thrust
