“You said it only takes an hour to get there,” Yumo-Rezu said. “How?”
I snapped my fingers, and Talon and another harpy flew down from the battlements. “That’s how,” I said. “You want to fly over there and pay the dragon a visit?”
“I’m the Dragon Goddess, and I haven’t seen a dragon in almost a year! What do you think?” she exclaimed, giddy with excitement.
Talon and the other harpy picked Yumo-Rezu and I up and took off, flying toward the distant mountains where the dragon’s lair was situated.
There would be more wars, conquest, and campaigns, and rebellions, of course, like the one Rollar and my army had just put down. And to tell the truth, I was looking forward to more battles and fighting. I couldn’t be content just sitting on my ass and practicing combat on the training grounds.
And there were more half-dead gods and goddesses I wanted to find and resurrect. As the ruler of the gods, I felt it was my duty if their spirits still survived in the Sea of Stars. But for now, a period of relative peace was enjoyable, and, for everyone who’d fought alongside me, well-deserved. We would enjoy it while it lasted.
There was, of course, another matter on my mind. I was considering finally settling down. I had a child on the way with Elyse, and I imagined the other women would be only too happy to bear my children. What would happen when my firstborn entered this world? Would he be a god or a human, or something in between?
The next month could hardly come fast enough.
Until then, however, I would enjoy this relative peace. And I knew the perfect way to do that.
Now that Yumo-Rezu had returned, would an orgy with all my women be out of the question?
