Bree rolled her eyes and grunting like a girl having an attack, she hit her boot against the muddy ground.
- All right! All right! - ...she's been poking around. - I'll let you prove me wrong, but if you get in my way somehow, I'll kill you myself.
- Fair enough! - I smiled.
Bree snorted, but strangely smiled at me.
- Before we go, can you walk me to my tent? - she asked in a low voice. - Keilan hates it when I go hunting alone and decided to hide my bow. I found him, but he's in a much higher place than me. You seem to have the right time to help me.
I smiled ironically at her.
- Well, I'm good for something, after all.
- Come with me, please!
I walked her to the other side of the camp. Bree guided me to a simple tent and I was amazed to enter. I had kept my brother's tent, which was close to her. The space was very small and contained only what was necessary. A bed covered in leather in a corner with a small trunk at your feet and a small table with two chairs in the center, plus a screen. There wasn't a ton for bathing and I wondered where she cleaned up.
- This place is a cubicle! - I said amazed. - I think it's very difficult, your bow to be hiding here. Why didn't Keilan hide it in his tent?
- Because he's not stupid! - she said in a whisper that left me with the creepy back of my neck. - I think we have some time.
- What's that? What's that?
Before I could tell, Bree came underneath and knocked me over the bed.
- I hope you like the women on top, Your Highness. - she said riding on me. - I love being in control like you must have noticed.
Bree held my wrists carrying them above my head.
- Actually, I prefer to be in control of the situation myself, but... - I paused when she bit my chin. - Ah! I'll make an exception in your case.
I almost lost my breath when Bree's soft lips came to meet mine and took them in an urgent kiss. Without playing dumb, I kissed her at the same intensity. When the time was right, I'd turn my back on her and take charge of the situation. My tongue penetrated the soft mouth of Bree and I felt pleased to hear a groan. Without stopping kissing me, Bree squeezed my wrists tightly and I felt something cold touch around, then the click of an iron.
- What's that? What's that? - I muttered in surprise when I realized I was chained to shackles. - Very funny! Now let me go!
The shackles were attached to a chain tied to the floor. Bree jumped out of bed while I was trying to pull his wrist. She laughed with satisfaction when she realized that I couldn't let go.
- I said, Your Highness! - she smiled fixing her hair. - I love being in charge, but I hate being disobeyed.
- Damn it! - I roared. - Bree, let me go now!
She laughed even harder and walked to the trunk. Taking the bow, she crossed him in the chest with the bag of arrows.
- Aren't you clever, Your Highness? - she mocked. - You get out of there yourself.
- Bree, I swear I'll kill her for that outrage! - ...I squawked by pulling my wrist. - Get me out of here! That's an order!
I was frustrated and excited at the same time. I wanted to kick Bree's ass for that affront and, at the same time, possess her madly.
- I'm sorry, but you stay here where it's safe for you and those around you. - she said before she left.
I fell on the bed frowning. Where had I heard that line before? I had a laugh. I had to agree that she was very smart and used my charm against me.
- Ah! I'd love to twist that beautiful neck. - I whispered. - But first I have to get rid of those shackles.
Turning sideways to take the weight off of where I was lying, I pulled the chain hard, but to my frustration it was really too short. I couldn't open the grill with my free hand, but with a dagger maybe. Taking the dagger stuck in my waist, I took the end to the bolt that closed to the two parts of the grill. By forcing the pin, I was able to push it away and thus loosen the irons. With a lot of effort I was able to free myself by carefully pulling my wrist. I got up quickly and ran out of the tent.
- Your Highness? - one of the men said when he saw me. - I thought you went with the rescue party.
- Unfortunately, there's been a setback. - I responded by turning my eyes. - Can you get me a horse? Which way did Bree's group go?
- To the south, Your Highness. - he said by giving me the reins of my horse. - You'd better hurry. It won't be too hard to find them. Follow that trail straight ahead.
- Thank you! Thank you! - I thanked him for riding the horse.
I galloped out behind Bree and followed the path that was indicated to me, praying that no Roy's soldier would kill her, because I wanted to do it myself. I entered a clearing and soon the sound of voices began to echo.
