She was so tight. He felt it every time hermuscles clenched around him. He pulled almost all the way outbefore slowly sliding all the way back inside. It took everythingwithin him not to ram into her. She was soaked. He watched her faceas her eyes rolled back into her head. Finally, Franklin couldn’thold it any longer. He had to pick up the speed. He pumped into hertrying to go as deeply as he could. He began to pump faster andharder. He furiously thrust in and out. Her body was clenching himso tightly he knew she was coming and it was only a matter of timebefore he came too. She screamed. Franklin kept pumping into herhard and fast that she was afraid the bed was going to break. Shewas still in the middle of her orgasm when Franklin started to cometoo. He felt so good. They hid their moans inside their kisses.Sandy had never had an experience this intense.
After a few moments they finally came downfrom the euphoria of making love. Franklin kissed her gently on herlips. He sighed “This probably shouldn’t have happened. I’ve nevermixed my personal life with business before. Not ever. I shouldprobably go but I don’t want to leave.”
She entwined her fingers with his “Thendon’t. Stay with me. I’d planned to nap for a little bit before wewent back to the hospital.”
Franklin took a deep breath as if he’d lostan internal battle and pulled Sandy close to him. He set the alarmon his phone and they fell asleep in each other’s arms.
Chapter 22
Jason, his father, and his mother werefinally alone in the waiting room. Once there, Jason began thedifficult task of explaining the situation with Ryan Carter to hisparents. Jason was grateful they didn’t judge Vicky about the crazycircumstances which they found themselves. His parents just wantedAngel to be ok. So, they were fully on board with what Jason hadplanned in order to get Ryan Carter to the hospital especially ifit was going to save Angel’s life.
“Son, is there anything else you need for meto do? Is there anyone you’d like for me to call? I’m good friendswith Jim Noelle. He’s the Republican ranking member of the stateSenate.”
“Dad that might be useful if all else fails. My hope is that this doesn’t have to go public. I don’t want to putVicky or Angel through that. One day Angel is going to grow up. Idon’t want her to read about this madness when she gets older. Ijust can’t believe a man could abandon his own child. I could neverdo that.”
Jason’s mother was so proud of her son. Shedidn’t think she had any tears left to shed but realized she musthave held on to just a few more. “Jason, we haven’t really had amoment to talk about Angel’s accident. I wanted to tell you, bothof you that we are so sorry about what happened. I feel like thiswas all our fault. If we had not encouraged Jocelyn to take Angelto the park and to get ice-cream, they’d both still be here.”Miriam those tears that had been threatening to fall came tumblingdown.
Jason couldn’t believe his parents feltguilty about this situation. It was an accident. “Mom, dad…Vickyand I don’t blame you for this. It was a horrible, horribleaccident. Please don’t blame yourselves.”
Miriam wrapped her arms around her son.“Thank you Jason forgiving us. I just hope Vicky feels the sameway.”
Jason kissed his mom on the cheek “I promiseyou, she feels the same way.”
“Angel is so lucky to have parents likeyou.”
“No mom, I’m lucky to have her. She’struly an Angel in my life. I’ve been feeling so helpless not beingable to fix this nightmare. I can finally do something to help her.” Mrs. Rutherfordstepped up to him and hugged her son. She knew he needed it badly. He’d been trying to be so strong for everyone else and in thismoment she wanted to pour into him some of her love and strength. He held on tightly to his mother. Before long Mr. Rutherfordwrapped his arms around the both of them before speaking “We’ll getthrough this…..all of us.”
The moment was interrupted when Jasonreceived a phone call from his personal assistant. He stepped awayfrom his parents before clearing his throat. “I’ve got to takethis”. After one final squeeze of his hand from his mother, hisparents left the waiting room so Jason could take the call. “What’sup Janice? Is everything all set for the press conference?”
“Yes, Mr. Rutherford. Everything is all set.The press has been put on notice and everyone is eager to know whatit’s all about. I have confirmed just about everyone’s attendance. Also, the hair and make-up people should be there within the nexthour. You and Vicky’s wardrobe should be delivered within the nexthalf an hour as well. Oh…and Mr. Rutherford, I am so sorry aboutAngel. I’m praying for her. I have a feeling she’s going to bealright.”
“Thanks Janice. I’m going to hold on to thathope. Make sure you keep the phone handy so if I need you I can getin touch.”
“No problem. I’ll make sure I’mavailable.”
Jason disconnected the call. Jason reallydidn’t want to go through with this press conference but they wereonly 2 hours away from their deadline and they still hadn’t heardfrom Ryan Carter. If he didn’t come through, Jason didn’t know whathe’d do if he ever came face to face with the man.
Franklin and Sandy made it back to thehospital. They hadn’t talked much but held hands onthe ride. Both were deep in thought trying to sort out theirfeelings about what just happened between them. Was that lovemaking session a stress reliever or was it
