Vicky didn’t know what she was going to do with herself. Well, yes she did. She was going to take Jason’s advice and order herself a massage.
Chapter 7
Jason disconnected the call with Vicky before she had a chance to tell him she wasn’t going to accept his generosity. He really did have another call coming through though. He answered the call before checking the caller i.d. It was Bridget. “Jason, you’ve finally answered your phone. I’ve been calling you for the last few days. Where have you been? I guess you were too busy to call your girlfriend.” Jason had just made it into the house from the airport. He couldn’t wait to call Vicky before he showered. He didn’t call her from the airport because it was too early and he didn’t want to wake her up. Jason felt like a bucket of ice cold water had been poured all over him when he heard Bridget’s voice. “Bridget, I’ve been really busy.”. There was a long pause before either of them spoke. Bridget was the first to break “I’ve missed you. We need to talk”. With a deep sigh and a hand swipe across his face Jason agreed “Bridget we do need to talk. Right now I just walked in from the airport and I need a shower. Maybe we can get together later on tonight for dinner at Charlie’s restaurant. How does 7pm sound?”. Bridget accepted and they disconnected. She wasn’t happy that it didn’t seem as though he’d missed her. She had hoped that she could come over today, he would apologize and that they would have make-up sex. Why hadn’t he proposed to her already? She knew he had the ring. What was he waiting on?
Right after Jason got out of the shower and changed his clothes his phone rang again. Seems like everyone wanted to call him all at the same time. This time it was his dad “Son, just wanted to let you know that your mom and I got back last night. We wanted to give you a call to let you know”. He could hear his mother in the background saying hello to him. “Jason, I, uh also have a couple of things I need to talk to you about as well. Think you can be here in about an hour or so?”. Jason didn’t like his dad’s tone. That tone always accompanied news he didn’t want to hear. All Jason really wanted to do was crash. He hadn’t really gotten much sleep in the last 24 hours. That made him smile thinking about why he hadn’t had much sleep. He wished he could have stayed for the weekend because he couldn’t get how good it was between him and Vicky out of his mind. Just thinking about her was making him excited. “Jason?” “Yeah, sorry dad I got a little distracted but I’m still here. I’ll see you in about an hour.”
Chapter 8
Jason made it to his parent’s home right on schedule. They lived in a gated community. As he drove up the winding driveway he noticed there was a lot of activity going on
