first time I almost made love to you was up against a wall.” He smiled. Here we are on a plane, and we’re on a door. Let me take you to bed and make love to you.”

Smiling cheekily, she responded. “Wall, door, floor, kitchen table…I don’t care.”

Their bodies remained connected when he lifted her up and off the wall. Alex took a few steps toward the small bedroom while Braylee lay her head into the crook of his neck. He pushed the door open and felt for the light switch. Once he found it, Alex flipped it up and froze. “What the hell?”

Braylee tried to turn around but couldn’t. Instead, she unwound her legs from around Alex’s waist and slid down his body. When she turned to see what he was looking at, a gasp escaped her. “Oh my God.” She quickly moved to try and hide her almost nude body behind his. He fumbled to zip up his pants as he watched a sleeping Cecily Manchetti lying in the middle of his bed.

Chapter 13

Alex was fuming. How the hell did Cecily get on this plane? How did she sneak away from Fabi and security? Luckily, she didn’t wake up when he and Braylee backed out of the room and closed the door. It gave them just a bit of time to get themselves together.

First things first, he needed to call his brother. Alex had been so lost within Braylee that he had no idea where he’d put his phone. He swiveled his head around in search of it. A second later, his eyes landed on the damn thing. It was on the chair next to hers. Angrily, he snatched the phone up and called him.

Braylee watched as she quickly smoothed her skirt down and found her blouse on her chair. Even with fumbling fingers, she managed to put it back on quickly. Yes, she looked disheveled, but at least, she no longer looked like she’d just had the best sex of her life. Which she had, she thought...

She found Alex’s shirt on the floor next to her chair and tossed it over to him. It was a shame to cover up those perfectly chiseled abs that sloped down into that narrow waist with the v-shaped cut. Braylee had always been a sucker for the v-cut. She bit her bottom lip as she thought about that man’s body covering hers.

Alex put his arms through one of the sleeves of his shirt and then the other. However, once he pulled it over his shoulders and went to fasten it, he realized that almost all of the buttons were missing. Even in the midst of his anger, Alex gazed at Braylee with a hint of a smile. With a sheepish look, she shrugged innocently. “Sorry.”

He dialed Fabi’s number and held the phone up to his ear and shoulder while he continued an attempt of putting his clothes back together. He walked over to Braylee and caressed her check. “No, I should be apologizing to you for putting you in the middle of this mess.”

Before Braylee could say anything, Fabi answered the phone. His voice was groggy as if he’d been asleep. “Hello.”

Alex yelled, “Why is Cecily on board my plane?”

Fabi sat up in bed and looked at the clock. “It’s 2 AM.” He wiped the fog from his eyes. “Cecily’s not on your plane. She’s in bed sleeping. I saw her when she went to her room and checked in on her before I went to bed.” He yawned. “You’re losing it, man.”

“Unless Cecily has a twin, she’s sleeping in the middle of my bed.”

Fabi threw the covers off of his body and got up out of bed. He started walking up the stairs towards her room. “I don’t know what to tell you, but I saw Cecily right before I went to bed. There’s no way she would have snuck out of here. She’s not the kind of kid. You know that.” Fabi arrived at Cecily’s room and knocked on her door. “Now, you’re going to make me wake her up at 2 in the morning because her uncle has lost it.” There was no answer from the other side of the door. Fabi knocked again.

Alex stood with his legs braced apart and his arms crossed over his chest. Still holding the phone between his ear and shoulder—listening. At this point, all he could hear was his brother’s breathing.

Fabi frowned and started to get a little worried at the lack of an answer coming from Cecily’s room. He opened the door. He could make out a figure in her bed, but the lights were off. He realized he couldn’t really see her. He walked over towards her bed and turned on the lamp next to it. When the light came on and illuminated the room all he could say was “shit.” Fabi was pissed. “I got played by a fourteen-year-old. She pulled the oldest trick in the book. She stuffed her bed with pillows to create a lump that I would mistake for her.”

Alex ran his hands over the back of his head. “If we check the security tape, she probably snuck out after you went to bed. Braylee and I left for the airport right after we were finished with our meeting this evening.”

“You tell Cecily when I see her it’s not going to be pleasant.”

“Yeah, I’ll tell her. And, she won’t believe you. You’ve never disciplined this girl in your life.”

“You haven’t either.”

“Well, there’s a first time for everything. She needs to know that it’s way too dangerous for her to pull a
