Her head was tilted as if she was confused about something.

She was fucking adorable and I wanted her naked in my bed.

Heat instantly rose in my cheeks at my inappropriate thought.

“So, Naiva, what do you have to do?” I blurted out to break the silence and distract myself from her warm brown eyes, silky light-brown hair, and perfect body.

Fuck. Once again, I dug my fingers into my scalp and dug the nails in until the pain registered and I was able to calm my raging hardon.

“Uh…” Naiva glanced down at her hands and noticed the water. “Here.” She shoved one bottle across the table to me and quickly uncapped her own to take a deep swallow.

“Look, I really can just go, if you’d prefer,” I offered.

“Actually…” She cleared her throat and set her water to the side and began to chop some vegetables. “I would really enjoy the company. I found out… something today and it has me thrown for a loop.”

“I’m… sorry.” Curiosity had me wanting to ask her a million questions. I finally talked to her and I couldn’t let the chance to get to know her go.

“Not your fault.” She gave me a smile in gratitude and continued to chop the carrots.

“So wh–”

“So wh–”

We both started to ask what sounded like the same question. Starting and stopping simultaneously, we both broke out into laughter.

“Sorry,” I smiled and waved her to go ahead.

“I was just wondering what brought you back to Cape Luella after all of these years.” Naiva shrugged as if she didn’t care but there was something in the stiffness of her shoulders and the loud sounds of the knife hitting the cutting board.

Then something she said hit me… “What do you mean all of these years?”

“Just that I haven’t seen you since you were…” Her hands stopped moving and she glanced at the ceiling. “Well, I think the last summer would have been after you would have finished high school. Your parents have been here every year as usual but mostly alone.”

“So…” My mind raced with the implications of her words. She’d noticed me. “You, uh, noticed me back then?”

Her eyes went wide and she lifted her hand about six inches before realizing she still held the knife. She must really be off her game to let something like that slip out unwanted. And, the pink that colored her cheeks testified to her embarrassment over what she’d admitted.

“Yes,” she finally admitted softly. “You were a little difficult to miss back then. All of the girls were trying to get your attention. You always seemed distracted by the sea life and seashells.”

“Not really,” I grinned at her. It was only fair that I admit my own truth since she had admitted hers. “I was focused on you actually.”

“Me?” she squeaked.

“Yes, you.” My grin widened and I took a swig of my water to hide it from her.

“Are you making fun of me?” Her face was way too sober and her words caused my heart to squeeze tight in my chest.

“No. Why would you think that?” I demanded as I stood from my stool and leaned forward on the table to get a bit closer.

“Because you’re…” Naiva waved her hands in the air between us.

Anger rose inside of me and I glared at her. “And what the hell is that supposed to mean?”

“Mr. Noch, you’re rich, gorgeous, and there is no way you would have been interested in me back then with my braces and the fact that I was younger than you by several years.” Naiva stepped back from the table as if she was trying to put more space between us.

The pain I saw reflected in her eyes had me moving before I could think too much about what I meant to do. If I had taken the time to think, I doubt it would have happened.

Instead of being a gentleman, I rounded the table, pulled the woman of my dreams into my arms, and kissed her with everything I had.

Naiva went rigid in my arms for long enough that I began to come out of the anger and lust induced daze that had led me to push myself on her. However, she surprised me when she melted into my arms. Her arms wrapped around my neck and she pressed our lips together more firmly.

I groaned and ran my tongue over the seam of her lips until she opened for me. Pushing my tongue forward, I tasted nirvana. My mind short-circuited and for the first time in my life, I let go and allowed my body to call the shots. Electricity zapped through me and my cocked hardened further.

Naiva moaned into my mouth and my head swooned. We broke apart, gasping for breath.

“Whoa,” she panted.

“Wow,” I agreed.

“Can we do that again?” Naiva whispered as she looked up at me with awe and something I couldn’t begin to describe.

“Definitely,” I agreed as I pulled her in for the second kiss I’d ever had.

A part of me kept trying to intrude and tell me there was no way Harrison Jackson Noch III was kissing me. My first boy-girl kiss and it was with the one man I never thought I would have a chance with. Logically I knew it couldn’t be happening, but I didn’t care.

Leaning further into his embrace, I allowed Jack – he’d told me to call him Jack – to lead the way. At the beginning, we were both tentative which seemed strange for someone like Jack Noch. It was as if he was as new to this kissing thing as I was.

When we finally broke apart from our second kiss, I couldn’t help the dreamy way I looked up at him. Even in the glaring lights of the kitchen, he was perfection on two legs. However, I might want to change that to three legs with the large appendage pressing against my stomach from the confines of his jeans.

Nerves had me trembling and he reached up to run
