“You tell me.”

Stone stared back at him. T knew him better than anyone else.

“She’s different. She’s…mine, T. I can’t let her go, but I know it can’t work. Don’t know what the fuck to do.”

“Why can’t it work?”

“C’mon, what we do? You think I want that touching her? You think she’d get it? I’m not going to lie to her. Not her,” Stone whispered the last part. He didn’t want to lie to her.

“Don’t you think she should get a say? Because I’ll tell ya, man, that girl, she’s all about you, Stone. She sees you, man. A chick sees you…the real you? You don’t let that go.” T grabbed a mug and started filling his cup.

Stone stared at T. Hard ass T giving him advice on women, who would have thought. Bogs came over, grabbed a mug and got himself coffee.

“So, where is sexy…” He coughed and corrected himself. “Sorry, man, my bad. I meant to say…Sadie.”

Stone glared at Bogs. “Sleeping.”

“Tell her you’re leaving?” T asked.

“Not yet. Didn’t have time.”

Bogs burst out laughing. “Oh, I bet you didn’t have time.”

Stone snapped, “Shut the fuck up, Bogs.”

Bogs continued to laugh and T smirked.

“So, what time you leaving?” T asked in all seriousness.

“About two hours. Be back on Thursday.” Stone paused and looked between T and Bogs. “I need you guys to keep an eye on her, make sure her ex doesn’t bother her. Just check on her.”

“Dude, I’ll stay here with her if that makes you feel better.” Bogs wiggled his eyebrows.

Stone loved his little brother but he was ready to pummel him. He glared at Bogs. T reached out and pushed him.

“Shut up or next time I won’t hold him back, I’ll let him kick the shit out of you.”

Bogs snorted and walked back to the couch with his coffee.

T and Stone looked at each other and smiled.

“We got her, don’t worry about it,” T said and nodded.

The sound of a car alarm woke her up. She opened her eyes to sunlight shining in her room through the blinds. She looked over to her alarm clock for the time, 11:26am. The last time she had looked at the clock was when they climbed into bed. It had been three-thirteen a.m. She had been so shocked that he stayed with her. She expected him to leave. His words still ran in her ear from last night. Best I ever had.

Sadie turned to find an empty bed. He left. She was a little surprised. She knew he would eventually leave, but she thought she’d at least get to say goodbye. The car alarm went off again and she groaned. It was time to start her day. It was time to move on from Stone. She moved her achy body and sat up in her bed. Damn, it was a good ache.

After she used the bathroom, she walked down the hall into the kitchen, still half asleep. She’d always been a night person so it usually took her a good thirty minutes to wake up in the morning. Her eyes were barely open when she made her way to the coffeemaker. She reached for the pot and stopped. There was hot coffee in it. What?

“Good morning!”

She whipped toward the voice and found two people sitting comfortably on her couch. T and Bogs. They both had mugs in their hands and Bogs had a grin on his face. T gazed down her body, back up to her face and smirked. She stood still. What were they doing there? Why were they in her house, drinking her coffee? She looked around the room. Where was Stone? She glanced back at T and Bogs.

“What are you guys doing here?” she asked warily.

“Picking up Stone,” T said

“Oh. Where is he?” Sadie asked.

“Outside taking a call,” T answered, giving her no more.

Sadie nodded and shifted from one leg to her other. She stood in the middle of the room, not knowing what to do in her own kitchen. T and Bogs continued to stare at her.

“Hey T, is it cold in here?” Bogs’ tone was mocking. T didn’t answer, he just continued to smirk at Sadie. He was not as scary when he was smirking, he should smirk more often.

“Yeah, I think it is cold in here,” Bogs repeated and nodded his head.

Sadie stared between them. They both looked like they were trying to hold back laughter. She didn’t understand.

“Yeah, it’s definitely cold in here, don’t you think, Sadie?” He looked down at her breasts and his grin got wider with a devilish glint in his eyes.

Sadie followed his gaze to see her ultra-thin light pink tank top with her hard nipples poking through. She was practically topless. Sadie gasped and covered her chest. Bogs howled in laughter while T gave a small chuckle. She was mortified. Her face burned.

She was about to flee the room when Stone walked in from outside. Her face was bright red and her hands were covering her boobs. He looked at her face and scowled. He peered over at the guys. T looked amused and Bogs was still hysterically laughing.

“What the hell is going on?” he demanded.

“Nothing, man, just small talk about the weather,” Bogs replied, and then proceeded to burst out laughing again.

Asshole!

Sadie turned and made a mad dash for her room. She slammed the door behind her. This was so humiliating. They shouldn’t even be there. Why were they? If she had known they were out there she would have changed. She looked down to her beaded breasts and lower, to her boy shorts. This was just great. They must have gotten a full view of her back end as she ran out.

The door opened and Stone walked in. He closed the door behind him and leaned on it. Sadie was still flushed and embarrassed. He lifted up his finger and gestured for her to come to him without saying a word. He had a small smile on his face and she was sure he got the full story
