“Good enough.” Dex slipped her tongue between Emma’s folds.
Emma jolted as the sensation rolled through her. Dex had barelytouched her, and she was immediately ready to come. She concentrated hard tofeel the wonderful warmth of Dex’s tongue as it stroked her, but when sheslipped a finger inside and matched the rhythm of her tongue, the orgasmcrashed through her and sent her spiraling into the warm, wonderful abyss. She’d never worshipped God so loudly before in her life. Dex seemed to know everythingthat pleased her and how to do it well.
She reached for Dex and coaxed her up next to her. “How do you dothat?”
“What?”
“Take me there so quickly.”
Dex’s lip tugged up into a half smile. “You inspire me.”
“And I will forever remember the ingredients for cheesecake.” Emmachuckled.
“My special cheesecake.” Dex bounced her eyebrows. “Which we mustmake.” She reached for her phone and checked the time. “Now.”
Emma took the phone from her and tossed it to the bottom of thebed. “But it’s my turn.”
Dex pulled her eyebrows together. “There are no turns in thisbed.” A smile came over her face before she kissed Emma softly and threw thecovers back. “Cheesecake first. Then we discuss turns.” She found her T-shirton the floor and pulled it over her head before she tossed Emma her robe, andthen they raced into the kitchen.
“Do you have any Oreos?”
“Oreos don’t last long here.” She smiled sheepishly and thenlifted her eyebrows. “Oh, but I do have fortune cookies. Will those work?”
“Absolutely.”
She opened the pantry door and took out a huge container full ofthem.
“I take it you like Chinese food.” Dex scanned the pantry and tookthe food processer and mixer from the bottom shelf.
“It’s easy and close.” She grinned. “When you come back for dinnerthis week, I’ll buy.”
“An offer I can’t refuse.” Dex unwrapped a couple of cookies anddropped them into the food processor before she tossed a handful of them infront of Emma. “Unwrap. I’ll help, but you’re baking, so you can own it atwork.”
“You’re really taking a chance on me.”
Dex took in a deep breath and seemed to contemplate her nextwords. “Yes, I am.” She dropped the fortune cookies, put her arms around Emma’swaist, and kissed her in such a way that Emma lost all sense of time and place. When they parted, Dex smiled and handed her another handful of fortune cookies.
So many thoughts flew through Emma’s mind at that point that shehad a hard time focusing on baking. She was ready to forget the cheesecake andtake Dex right back to bed. She didn’t want to go to work in the morning. Shedidn’t want to leave the house ever again.
Once the cheesecake was in the oven, Emma couldn’t keep her handsoff Dex. She’d somehow gotten covered with cheesecake batter, but theexpression in Dex’s eyes when she’d let her robe drop to the floor made itperfectly clear she was up for another round. They’d made love on the couchthis time, and Emma had taken her turn. She couldn’t get enough of the womanwho seemed to anticipate her every need. She wouldn’t sleep tonight, not withDex in her arms. Her taste and her scent lingered on Emma’s lips, and she knewshe’d never grow tired of this woman. She’d just dozed off when the oven timerstartled her awake.
“I’ll get it.” Dex rolled from her side and off the couch, andEmma followed her.
Dex took the cheesecake from the oven and set it on a trivet.
Emma stood in awe at the delicacy in front of her. “This is sobeautiful. I’m not sure I want to take it to work.”
Dex reached into the oven and took out another cheesecake half thesize of the first. “The reason I made this one.”
Emma hadn’t seen her slip that one into the oven. “I could kissyou right now.”
“I’ll accept that reward.” Dex took her into her arms, and Emmakissed her deeply.
“Let’s go back upstairs.”
Dex smiled. “First, we taste.”
Emma pulled open a drawer, plucked out a spoon, and handed it toDex. She scooped out a tiny spoonful of cheesecake, slid it into Emma’s mouth, and kissed her again. The sweet taste of cream cheese, sugar, and vanillalingered between them. It was by far the most erotic kiss Emma had everexperienced. She took the spoon from Dex’s hand, dropped it onto the counter, and pulled her back upstairs.
Chapter Sixteen
Dex thought about the night before with Emma, which had beenboth give and take. She and Emma didn’t fight for control. Well, maybe alittle, but they definitely didn’t do battle. A natural exchange existedbetween them. They were so in sync it was spectacular, and oddly enough, Dexfelt energized this morning. Of course, the four cups of coffee hadn’t hurt.
She knocked lightly on Juni’s front door before she slid her keyinto the slot and unlocked the deadbolt. Juni and Dex had exchanged keys longago to prevent lockouts and accommodate emergency cat feedings. Sometimes Dexworked long hours to complete a landscaping job, and Juni had come to therescue with feeding Panda more than once.
“Hey, sis,” she shouted as she moved through the living room tothe kitchen. Four cups of coffee weren’t enough. She was going to need more tokeep her from sleeping on her feet today. She took the decanter from thecoffeemaker and noted that the coffee hadn’t been made.
Where was Juni? She went back to the bottom of the stairs. “Youokay?”
“Yes. Be right down,” Juni shouted from upstairs.
She checked her watch. Nine o’clock. That was odd. Juni wasusually up and dressed by eight.
Juni came hustling down the stairs and into the kitchen. “Youmaking the coffee?”
She nodded. “I’m going to need a gallon of it this morning.”
“Me too. Throw a couple extra cups in there today.” Juni reachedinto the refrigerator, took out the orange juice, and poured herself a glass.
Dex stopped what she was doing and turned around. “For you?”
A huge grin spread across Juni’s face as she slid the juice backinto the fridge. “Josh is here.”
“Oh my God.” Dex widened her eyes. “He’s here?” She dropped thebag of coffee onto
