Goodness, if I thought the fellas had turned it into something that resembled an army barrack when we first got here, it was nothing compared to the way it looked now. I don’t really know what my husband has going on. He doesn’t talk about it much with me. And when I try to pry a little, he always manages to distract me with other things.
He was always coming and going in that helicopter that dropped him off the first night. Men would show up here to be trained by him. Some stayed to become one of the ranch hands, and some went on about their business.
Gabe said that they were soldiers for the Ancient of Days. I asked him what he and they were training so hard for.
“Baby, there is a war coming. A war that has been brewing since men made a covenant with good as well as evil. We are preparing ourselves to become vessels for the Ancient of Days. Soon, he will walk amongst men.” He looked off into the distance as he spoke.
“But the thing is, he has to first prepare a body for himself. We train because there are forces that will stop at nothing to change what has already been spoken by him who changes not. Once his words are spoken, they shall not fall flat. The awakening has begun… the body is being prepared. And no matter how hard they try, they can’t stop what’s coming!”
