showing me your bike?” she asked, a confused look on her face.

He straddled the bike and turned to her. “Why don’t you ask me for a ride, princess?” he said, hoping to jog her memory of that first night they met.

She must have remembered, because her face lit up. “Give me a ride?”

He held his hand out, and when she took it, pulled her to him. “Oh, I’m going to give you a ride, all right.” She giggled. “You’re still not dressed for riding.”

“Is this better?” She hiked her skirt up, flashing him those shapely thighs he’d been dreaming about all day.

His cock twitched in anticipation. “Much. Hop on.”

When she settled in behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist, he zoomed off. His vision immediately adjusted to the darkness as he drove on a worn path that headed straight into the hills.

The bike climbed higher, until they reached the flat clearing on top of a crest. It was almost completely dark out here, with only the full moon and stars to light them.

“Where are we?” Isabelle asked.

“I used to come out here with Silke and Pops when I was younger to watch the stars. Sometimes … Joanie would join us too.” He swallowed the lump growing in his throat.

She soothed a hand down his arm but said nothing. Not that she needed to.

Joanie, as he predicted, was sent to the Lycan prison in Siberia, as his father had. However, both Grant and Isabelle had spoken during her hearing and asked for clemency. The Council considered their testimonies, and instead of giving her a life sentence, had it reduced to ten years. He hadn’t spoken to her at all, even though he attended the hearing, and Joanie hadn’t answered his letters or request to see her. He just hoped his mother needed time, and maybe someday, they could at least talk.

“Ransom?”

He cleared his throat. “Sorry.” He took her hand and dragged her toward the center of the ridge, where a picnic basket and a blanket were already laid out.

“Did you plan this?” she asked, her eyes widening.

“Mm-hmm.” He tugged her onto the blanket. “Finally,” he whispered. “I have you alone.”

“Ransom,” she purred as he nuzzled her neck and reached for the straps of her dress to push it down. “Oh …”

He made love to her slowly, yet eagerly until she was crying out in pleasure. When he was spent and done, he rolled onto his back and held her close, looking up at the blanket of summer stars above them shining so bright without any light pollution to dim their glow.

“Should we get back soon?” She was tracing patterns on his chest. “Evan—”

“Is in Silke’s safe hands,” he finished, grabbing her hand to kiss her fingers. “She knows we’ll be out here for a while.”

“For a while, huh?” She raised a brow at him. “What else did you have planned?”

“Actually …” He quickly got to his feet and pulled her up with him, then reached over into the picnic basket, feeling around for the box he’d placed in there before he took off his clothes. Finding it, he took it out.

She gasped when he got down on one knee and presented her with the diamond ring. “Ransom …”

“I know you’re already my True Mate,” he began. “And I’ll be forever grateful to fate for bringing you to me. But I want you to be mine and for me to be yours in every way possible. I’d marry you every day for the rest of my life if that would prove how much I love you, but just once would make me happy. So, whaddaya say, princess?”

“I … of course! I mean, yes.” She let out a small squeal when he put the ring on.

“Do … do you like it?” He’d ask Frankie for advice on rings after he’d come to her and Grant for their blessing. She said to pick whatever he thought would suit her, so of course, it was a princess cut diamond.

“It’s perfect,” she said breathlessly. “And I love you.”

“I love you more.” When he tugged her back down on the blanket, she let out a squeal. “You’re my heart, Isabelle.” He placed her hand on his chest so she could feel the steady beating.

“And you’re mine.” She kissed him on the lips and cuddled up to him.

His wolf sighed, content at last with their mate. Fate, he thought, was a funny thing. But it seemed to know what it was doing, so who was he to question it?

The stars above them twinkled in agreement.

Dear Reader,

We made it!

I can’t believe it’s the end of the True Mates Generations series.

But, it’s not the end of the True Mates universe.

The world has opened up, and now the humans know about the Lycans’s existence.

What will happen now?

Will the humans accept them or see them as a threat?

You’ll find out when I start the next spinoff series, sometime in 2021. (I’ll be going back to Blackstone first).

Whose story do you want to read first?

The children of the Lone Wolves?

The Scotland Wolves?

Or maybe you’d like to go back in time and read about what happened when Reed left and how the Lycans of London became guards to the royal family?

Or perhaps a spinoff of the Savage Wolves MC?

Drop me a line at [email protected] and let me know!

Thanks so much for reading!

All my love,

Alicia
