Finding out I was pregnant was a huge surprise. I’ve been on birth control, but my period was super late, and after three pregnancy tests said I was, we went to the doctor. He thinks it has to do with me not taking them correctly back when I had the stomach flu.
Liam was over the moon with the news while I still was in a bit of shock.
Now our relationship is full speed ahead.
When we got home, to help wrestle me out of my shock, he fell to his knees in front of me and kissed my belly, telling our future baby how much he loved them already, and how he couldn’t wait to add their name to his tattoo. What he forgot to account for was Matty to awake from his nap and be standing in the doorway watching us. Matty didn’t say anything then, but it’s clear he was lurking for much longer.
“Well, I guess that secret is out.” Liam squeezes me tight to him and kisses the top of my head. “Now all that’s left is getting you to marry me.”
“Is that your proposal?”
“Of course not. It’s coming though. You’ll love it. Something in the tropics maybe.”
“Whenever it is, my answer is already going to be yes because I’m all in for the rest of my life with you.”
THE END…
A succession of beeping noises sound and Liam’s cellphone spins around on the coffee table. He picks it up and I watch Jax and Sam also fumble with their phones. The three look in angst as they scroll through the messages on their phones.
“What’s going on?” I ask wondering what the hell has the three on high alert.
Liam holds up his finger, grabs for the television remote, and clicks through the channels before settling on a news station. There’s a bunch of reporters chasing after a couple men outside of a hospital. The men don’t seem to even be aware they’re being followed and disappear inside the building.
"What's going on?"
"It's about Ryan Davis. There's news on his wife,” Liam says, his eyes glued to the television as the news reporter comes onto the screen.
"If you are just tuning in, we’re outside Open Arms Hospital where it’s been reported that billionaire Ryan Davis’ wife, Genevieve Davis, has been found. We’re told she was brought in by an unknown individual early this afternoon. News cameras caught the billionaire along with his trusty security guard and father walking into the hospital after he received word. NEWS 7 will keep you posted on this ever-unfolding story.”
