your girl last night.”

He smirks back with a look that says, “I know.”

Leave it to Mia to be upfront and open about everything. Makes me feel like an even worse douchebag for what happened with Drew, because I can’t tell her about it. I just can’t.

Brayden pulls her back against his chest, nuzzling against her neck, kissing her there. She giggles because she’s ticklish there—a fact I knew long before him. His eyes meet mine as he sucks on the flesh there.

Fuck him.

“Stop,” she warns him, though her voice is breathless and needy. It does shit to me. Makes my dick hard in my jeans.

He does it again, his eyes flashing with triumph. That he got the fucking girl. With my eyes burning holes into him, I take her hand and thread our fingers together. It’s something I would have done long before she kissed me that day. We’re affectionate like that. I bring her hand up and kiss one of her knuckles.

The room goes quiet aside from the way Brayden suckles on her neck. She squeezes my hand. I don’t know if it’s an apology or a reminder that she’s still here with me. Either way, I take it, squeezing her back.

Brayden’s hand cradles her cheek, turning her face to him. His challenging stare locks on mine, even after his lips fuse to hers.

I don’t back down or look away.

He nips at her bottom lip, making her whimper. My dick strains against my jeans. His eyes close and the tension bleeds away. I watch them, hating how much I enjoy the sight of them together. He’s fucking hot and Mia is gorgeous. I shouldn’t like it as much as I do.

Ding-dong!

Mia shrieks in surprise. Brayden grabs her hips and moves her aside to snatch his wallet up from the table beside his phone and keys. As soon as he walks off to greet the delivery person, Mia glances my way, her cheeks flushed.

“I’m sorry,” she murmurs. “That was probably awkward for you.”

“Let me tell you a secret,” I say lowly, crooking a finger at her to urge her closer.

She leans in so close I can smell his masculine scent lingering on her. “What?”

“It wasn’t awkward because I can still do this.” I kiss her soft lips and then pull away with a smile. “I haven’t lost you yet.”

Her lashes flutter against her cheeks and she presses her fingers to her lips, surprise shining in her eyes.

“What’d I miss?” Brayden practically growls as he drops the bag of food on the coffee table.

I wink at him. “Mia’ll tell you later. She doesn’t keep secrets.”

The look on his face is murderous because he knows what that means. I kissed his girl—my girl—and I’ll do it every damn chance I get.

He might be a big, hot jock with eyes for my girl.

But I’m a spoiled boy who’s spent twenty-one years getting everything he wants.

If Brayden wants Mia, he’s going to have to fight a little harder for her because I’m not going fucking anywhere, and when it comes to getting what I want, I’ll fight dirty.

“Can I get a Guinness?” I call over to the bartender, who’s locked eyes with me from across the bar. With his brown, messy hair and hazel eyes, he reminds me a little of Ashton. Fucking Ashton. I mentally shake my head at how awkward shit’s been this week since our weekend together. Ever since Mia and Brayden returned, he’s barely been home, and when he is, he’s practically hiding out in his room. I’m going to need to get on Curtis about finding me another apartment for next semester. There’s no way I’m going to continue to live like that. Especially since instead of regretting it, I can’t get the night out of my head. And instead of wishing it never happened, I keep thinking about when it could happen again.

The bartender sets my beer in front of me. “I’m Kaleb. You new around here?”

“Just passing through,” I tell him, taking a sip of my beer. “Only here for the night.”

His lips curl into a grin. “And you’re spending it at the bar of the hotel?”

“Do you suggest I spend it somewhere else?” I ask, finding it too easy to flirt with this guy. For years, I focused my attention on women, but now that I’ve spent some time with Ashton, as well as kissed Brayden, I find myself giving the same sex equal amount of attention. Does this make me bi? Maybe… But I’m going to take the advice I gave Ashton not too long ago and not smack a label on it.

“Right here is fine with me,” Kaleb says, his eyes sparkling with lust and mischief. My gaze slides down past his strong nose and chiseled jaw, landing on the tattoo peeking out from under the collar of his shirt. I wonder what—

“Picking up bartenders in bars now?” a masculine voice I would recognize from anywhere says, cutting off my thoughts. I glance over and find Brayden sitting on the barstool next to me.

“I’ll take a Heineken,” he says to Kaleb.

“Good fucking game,” I tell him, patting him on the shoulder and ignoring his dig about the bartender.

“Damn right it was,” Brayden cockily replies. “We got this season on lock.”

“Don’t get too comfortable,” I warn, taking a sip of my beer. “You’ve won three games. You still have thirty more to go.”

“Thirty more we’ll fucking win.” Brayden scoffs as Kaleb sets his drink down, his attention coming back to me.

“Let me know if you need anything else,” Kaleb says with a wink. “I’ll be around all night.” He saunters away and I can’t help but check out his ass as he goes.

Brayden tilts his beer back and takes a long gulp. My eyes land on his Adam’s apple and the way it bounces as he drinks. An Adam’s apple shouldn’t be sexy, but it is. These are all things I’m noticing now that I never
