His cock is sliding inside me again, and the urgent, desperate need is gone, and he makes love to me. He whispers in my ear how much he loves me and needs me, the words cascading another orgasm down on me.
I don’t remember much after that. Just darkness. Just sleep.
And Grayson’s arms strapping me safely against him.
Chapter Nineteen
GRAYSON
I throw on my shirt and head toward the kitchen, careful to close the door quietly behind me so I don’t wake Finley. She’s still sleeping after the long night we had. I don’t think an hour went by where I wasn’t inside her. I was desperate and needed an escape. I needed to feel her, be with her; she was there, alive, confessing her love for me, and I drowned myself in it.
I do feel better this morning, maybe after we shared our mutual love, the dozen orgasms, or maybe the decent rest I got. I feel lighter. I don’t feel so doomed. I’m still scared, but I’m not panicking. My mind is clear, and I’m ready to go back to the hospital. I’m ready to see Dillon.
“Maggie had to leave this morning,” Jaxon says as he flips a pancake in the skillet. “She said she’ll call with more information on your ex when she has anything new. She also asked to give her an update on Dillon. She wants to know if she’s a match; if so, she will make a special trip back.”
“Wow.” It hits me. If she’s gone, it means she trusts me with Dillon. It’s officially me and him. “Alright.” I sit on the stool, and Jaxon slides a plate over to me, filled with pancakes, bacon, fruit, and then he pours me a cup of black coffee. “What’s with the spread?”
“I want to make sure you eat. The day will be long. We got it. You have packed bags too. Just in case if you need to stay at the hospital. More bacon?” he offers, stretching out the sizzling pan.
“Uh, no. I’m good. Thanks. This is plenty.” I glance down at the mountain of food on my plate and wonder if they think if I’m fat. I bite into a piece of bacon and nearly groan when the savory meat nearly melts on my tongue. That’s so good.
“There he is! Work up an appetite, Gray? I heard you,” Heaven teases me and slaps his hands on my shoulder then gives them a quick squeeze. “You’re a monster.”
“Idiot,” Owen slaps Heaven on the back of the head again. “Leave the man and his sex life alone.”
“Yeah, really. You and Finley having sex got my pregnant wife worked up, and I got laid too,” Jaxon speaks a little too freely. “By all means, continue to do what you do, man.”
I choke on my coffee, and Heaven pats my back. “You okay?”
“Fine,” I croak. “Wrong way.” Wrong information. I don’t need to know they got turned on.
“It was hot. Jesus, dude. You kept the entire house awake,” Sebastian saunters in, messy hair and a hickey on his neck. I haven’t seen a hickey since I was a teenager. “Worth it.”
“Hey-O!” Jaxon holds up his hand for a high-five, a move usually done by Heaven, and Sebastian meets his palm with his own.
“You guys need to buy porn if you’re getting all hot and bothered over the sounds of me and Finley.” I bite into a pancake. “And don’t listen to us. It’s weird.”
“As if we can help it. I heard her across the house. Remember, your room isn’t soundproof like the rest of ours, and you might want to invest in it. ‘Oh, Grayson. Yes, harder. Oh, god!’” Heaven mocks Finley, and for some reason it’s bothering me.
I lay down my fork, wipe my mouth, spin around on my stool and launch toward him, pressing him against the couch with my forearm against his throat. “All you fucks listen to me. I won’t apologize for what Finley and I did. I don’t appreciate you guys going on and on about it. It’s pissing me off. And you…” I rear my fist back and slam it across his cheek.
“What the fuck!” Heaven yells.
I grip him by his shirt and lift him in the air, bringing his face close to mine. “Don’t you ever mock her again. Don’t you dare. I would never do that to any of you. When she comes out here, I don’t expect any of you fuckers to say a word; do you understand? Or I swear, I will live to make you regret it.”
“Told you, you’re an idiot,” Owen says to Heaven. He leans against the counter casually and crosses his feet at his ankles, sipping his coffee.
“I’m sorry,” Heaven says, wincing when his cheek pulls against the small cut on his face. “It wasn’t like that. I was just praising you, man.”
“Well, don’t.” I don’t know why I’m not like the other guys. I don’t appreciate them hearing her. When she was moaning, at first I muffled her noises, but then all I wanted to do was hear them. As the night went on, I forgot all about muting her sounds because I love that I brought her so much pleasure that she lost control. “And I’ll make sure to get my room sound-proofed. I really don’t fucking like talking about this with you guys, okay? I’m a private guy. Remember that. And thank you, Owen.”
“For what?” He tilts his head in confusion.
“For keeping your opinions to yourself.”
He lifts his shoulders in a shrug. “Private moments should remain private, and the times they can be heard, the people on the outside should pretend like nothing happened.” Owen cuts his gaze to Heaven. “Which I told you last night, but you and your big fucking mouth.”
“I’m not the only one with a big fucking mouth. Hit them too.” Heaven points to Jaxon and Sebastian.
Sebastian stops mid-pour as he fills
