“Yes, Daddy.” That had him finally relaxing again, and he lay back down on the bed, looking up at me and smiling. “I can’t wait to feel it.”
“I can’t wait to change you tomorrow morning.”
“Tomorrow morning.” Frowning, Henry watched my movement while I cleaned his spent willy with some wipes and laid the diaper on the bed. When I tapped his hip to make him lift his butt, he looked at me again. “That means you’re staying the night, right?”
“Yes, Cupcake. It means I’m staying the night. As long as you don’t want me to leave.”
“I don’t want you to leave.” Henry blushed furiously, reached out, and grabbed a plush unicorn from the pillow. Hugging it to his chest, he looked at me again. “I don’t want you to leave ever again.”
“Let’s start with this week, and then we’ll talk about our living arrangements, alright?”
“Alright, Daddy.”
“Good.” Our living arrangements. We would talk about our living arrangements. I never thought about moving in with anybody, but Henry? Henry was different. He was something else. No, not something else. He was my everything. That meant that we needed to talk because I wanted to make a home with him and his voyeuristic cat.
Chapter 21
Henry
Days passed. Caden came over after work and spent the night. In the morning, he would make breakfast for me and leave in one of his sexy suits. Then he would come back again. I was probably smiling like an idiot as I stood in my closet and just looked at his three suits hanging there. On the first night of our arrangement, Caden arrived with clothes for my closet. And toiletries into the bathroom. There were even files on a small table beside the couch. Caden kept reading through them after dinner to prepare for the next day.
It was so domestic, and I loved it. It was hard to admit it, but it was good for my sleeping pattern, too. Instead of working all night, I got up with Caden and worked on my writing until he came home. Even Owen told me that it was good Caden had moved in. Owen said I was more focused on writing and editing than ever before. I was even ahead of my timetable for my new book, and that had never happened before.
Smiling, I went back to the kitchen and found a bowl with grapes, apple slices, and bananas with a note from Daddy.
“Don’t just eat sweets with Sam. Be a good Boy, Cupcake. I’ll see you tonight. I love you. Daddy.”
Blinking at the note, I glanced at the cabinet where I kept all the sweets.
Don’t eat only sweets means that we still can have some, right? Shrugging, I opened the cupboard and found another note from Caden.
“Good Boys do what their Daddies tell them. If you finish all the fruit, then you can have some chocolate! Not before! I still love you. Daddy.”
Laughing, I closed the cabinet and went back to the bowl with fruit. Munching on a grape, I looked at the clock. It was close to ten, and Sam was about to arrive. He called last night and asked if he could come and look over their office area to see what they would need to furnish the space. Contractors had already been there to take measurements and go over the renovations.
It would be awesome to have Sam come over, and I was looking forward to seeing him. He was a nice guy, and he was starting to get to me. Having someone around kept my mind off other things, like the parole hearing. Since Ian told me about it, there was no more news. That probably meant the hearing had not happened yet. Ian would have told me, and I dreaded that call.
The flashing lights of the doorbell pulled me out of my thoughts. For another couple of hours, I wouldn’t have to think about Robert and his parole hearing. Just living and enjoying the life I had created for myself, with a Daddy and a new friend. I pushed the button on the intercom. A grinning and waving Sam greeted me on the monitor.
“Hi. It’s me. Open up.”
It was hard following his signing over the small monitor, but I got most of it. Chuckling, I opened the door for him. Waiting for the elevator doors to open, I looked back into the apartment to see Charlie disappear into my nursery. He’d probably come out later when he realized that it was only Sam. On the other hand, Charlie scratched Jakob the last time they were here. So he might stay hidden.
But Jakob wasn’t with Sam. Instead, Des stepped out of the elevator, followed by his brother Raymond. Before I had time to process all of that, Sam hugged me. My breath rushed out of me, but then I relaxed and hugged him back. Never in my life had I been hugged so much. But who was I to complain?
“Where’s Jakob?” I asked after I pulled back and looked at Sam.
Sam glanced at Ray and Des, but then he signed, “At work. He’s coming later.”
“Oh. Ok.”
Weird. I’d thought that Jakob would want to see the space himself. But I understood that sometimes work came first. Caden was busy, too. He had a new critical case. Caden told me about it over dinner two nights ago. He was working with a young woman with a two-year-old. She wanted to get away from her abusive husband, and Caden was doing everything he could to help her. It filled me with pride, and I loved him more for his dedication. Not only was Caden my unicorn Daddy, but he was a hero as well.
“Hey, Henry.” Des pulled me into a hug, then leaned back so I could see his lips. “We’re here to make sure that Sam doesn’t choose any goofy colors for the walls and cook pizza for you.”
“Pizza?” I asked and glanced back to the kitchen, where the
