“I know.” Taking the whiskey from the waiter, Miles smiled at me. “When I met Ava, the second sentence she said to me was, My nephew is living with me. You either get both of us or nothing at all.”
“Finally. Now I know where Henry got his sass.” Miles and I laughed. We clinked our glasses together. “You’re going to be fine, I promise. Henry maybe went a little overboard, but it’s going to be perfect.”
“God, I can’t believe that we’re going to get married.”
“You two love each other. Getting married is the next logical step.”
“So, does that mean that you want to get married, too?”
For a second, I just stared at him and then laughed out loud. “Ava put you up on this, didn’t she?”
“I told her you would see right through that.” Miles laughed and raised his glass to salute me. “I think we should meet up once a week to catch up on what those two are up to.”
“Sounds like a good idea to me.” Over Miles's shoulder, I saw Henry waving his hand in my direction from the dressing room. “Okay, it looks like it’s time to get ready.”
“Caden?”
“Yes?”
“We’re going to be okay. As a family.”
“Family.” Putting my glass down, I hugged Miles before I stepped back and grinned. “Now go and freak out because you’re getting married.”
The ceremony was beautiful. It was romantic and perfect, and I couldn’t be prouder of Henry for arranging all of this. And I couldn’t stop thinking about Miles's words.
Do I want to get married? Yes. Do I want to marry Henry? Hell, yes.
He was the one for me. And I wanted what Ava and Miles had. Okay, maybe not a big ceremony like this, but I wanted to tie the knot with Henry.
I waited patiently in the background until it was my turn to congratulate the happy couple. I hugged first Ava and then Miles, only to be held back by Ava when I wanted to step down.
“You do realize there is a perfect way to tie the knot.”
“What?”
“Ready to tie a real knot?”
What the hell? I was still wondering if you could be high from endorphins when Henry walked over to me. He was smiling, but there was something odd about it. It didn’t reach his eyes. When I glanced down, I could see that his hands were clenched into fists.
“Cupcake?”
“Umm, I just…” Closing his eyes, Henry just blurted it out. “I got a marriage license for us. Umm. And if you want, we can get married, too. Like now. The officiant knows about it, and he is just waiting for us. I mean, if you say yes, that is.”
“Wait…what?” Staring at Henry, I tried to get what he was saying. “We can get married now?”
“Yes?”
Looking at my sweet Henry, I saw hope and fear in his eyes. Not to mention I could feel Ava’s glare in my back. Married. Now. Here. Then it suddenly made sense.
“You little shit. You planned this. That’s why you went overboard with the wedding.”
“No! Well, not right away. But as I planned the wedding, I was just…well, it had me thinking and I…”
“Let’s do it.”
“What?”
“Let’s do it. Let’s get married.” Oh my god. I was going to do this. Here. Now. I was going to get married. Laughing out loud, I made sure that Henry was looking at my lips. “Let’s get married, Henry.”
“They’re going to hate us.”
“Who?”
“Des, Jakob, Ray…”
“They can go and marry themselves. But right now, we’re going to get married.” Laughing, I took his hands and pulled him over in front of the officiant.
“Now and forever, Cupcake.”
“Now and forever, Daddy!”

Desmond
“Uncle Des.”
I turned around, and before I could even blink, I had my arms full of Sam. Behind him stood his Daddy, Jakob, who chuckled and shook his head. They’d been away for two weeks. Had he really expected Sam to greet me politely? Sam giggled when I spun him around in a circle. Then I sat him back down and looked him over. “Excuse me, but do we know each other? Not that I mind a cute Little throwing himself at me.”
“It’s meee. Sam. You’re favorite Little.”
“Hey. I’m his favorite Little,” Josh exclaimed. He shoved Sam to the side and gave me a big hug. “We’re back.”
“And you are?”
They both huffed, and I could barely contain my laughter. They were so adorable in their excitement to be back. They’d spent the last two weeks with their Daddies in Florida with Henry and his Daddy. They’d visited Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, and who knew where else. After everything that had happened recently, Jakob, Darrell, and Caden decided that it would be an excellent idea to take a trip. That meant a fun trip to Florida to enjoy all the theme parks and beaches.
“We were only gone for two weeks. You couldn’t have forgotten us.” Sam pouted at me.
“You really can’t. We’re the most adorable Littles ever,” Josh agreed, copying Sam's pout. “And we sent you postcards.”
“Oh yes, I did get some postcards. But those were from the trouble threesome. There are only two of you here.”
I’d gotten postcards every day, each one cuter than the last. Then they sent me tons of messages and pictures. Every day I got at least a hundred photos from the three of them as they visited Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, and even from an alligator farm.
“That’s because Henry was too tired to come tonight,” Sam said with a sigh, followed by a yawn. It seemed Henry wasn’t the only one who was tired after their flight back.
“Oh, ok. Good. So Henry wasn’t eaten by an alligator.”
“No, but we nearly lost him at Universal Studios.” Josh giggled, and Sam sighed. I looked over to Jakob and Darrell, both rolling their eyes. Yeah, losing
