a moment. Then Ryder pushed it open, and it flew off.

I grinned.

“What are you so happy about?” she asked with a smile as she sat next to me.

"What isn’t there to be happy about?”

Kennedi came rushing out and flew down the steps, heading back over to the neighbor’s house, with a helmet in hand.

I looped my arm around Ryder, pulling her closer. Then, I kissed the top of her head.

“I love you.” I whispered against her hair.

“I love you too.” She answered as she wrapped her arms around my stomach to cuddle.

As I sat there watching our son play and worrying about my daughter in her absence, as I always did, I couldn’t help but be thankful for all the things life had given me.

I couldn’t help but be grateful for the one thing that started it all…Butterfly Kisses.
