“The best thing I ever did was grab you,” he murmurs as he strokes my back, sending shivers down my spine.
I lift my head up to stare at him. “Grabbed by the alien guard,” I tease.
“Hey, I’m not a guard anymore,” he protests. “I’m a soldier.”
“Yes.” I kiss him. “You are.” I pepper him with more kisses between each word. “But, more importantly…” More kisses. “You’re my fiancé.”
“I like the sound of that, but you know what will sound even better?”
“What?”
“Hearing you call me your husband.”
“Hmm. How quickly do you think we can be married?”
“Very quickly.”
“And have a house?”
“That might take a bit more time.”
“Then soldier boy better use his authority to get us a house faster.”
Adir laughs. “Whatever I can do for you, I will. Always.”
“All I need is your love.” I kiss the tip of his nose.
“You know you have it.”
He wraps his arms around me and rolls us over. I shriek and squirm against him, but then he enters me, and all I can do is focus on him, the rest of the world fading away as my alien made sweet, tender love to me. What better life could I ask for than this?
