“Now, where are you bleeding from?” he says looking concerned.
“My mouth. I’m pretty sure when I fell, I bit my tongue,” I say.
I try to show him, but it really hurts now that I think about it.
“Take her back to the club and Doc can look at her. We will deal with this fucker,” Derek says gesturing to Reaper.
I don’t ask what he means by “deal with” because I’m sure that I don’t want to know, but I do know that Reaper deserves everything he has coming to him.
“Let’s go, baby,” Tyson says and I follow him to his bike.
Wrapping my arms around him, I finally feel safe.
I finally feel free.
Chapter Twenty Two
Tyson “Torch”
Those agonizing moments that I had to wait until I got the all clear to go after Camilla were harder than I had even thought they would be.
I didn’t realize how much I had already fallen for her when I was close to losing her.
We had a routine we followed the last week and a half until she made her way out.
Xavier pretended that he was asleep each night until he knew that she was. That way, if she actually went to sleep, he would know that it wasn’t the night that she was planning to escape.
He could tell that it was tonight. We had sent everyone to the bunker while she was in the shower so she wouldn’t know or hear anything.
Tech was pretending to work on club books while she snuck out of the club.
When she walked out, we had Ink call the prospect and pretend that he was a woman to trick her into thinking that the prospect was bad at his job.
In my opinion, Ink didn’t really need to say anything flirty to get the prospect to blush but he did it anyway.
I don’t think that Ink was pretending to flirt, but what he does in his own bedroom is his own business.
Stitch’s brothers were right behind her, but I think that she was just too distracted to even notice.
I take her to the club and Doc pulls up beside me. He asks her a bunch of questions and she tells him what happened. She and Doc together conclude that her mouth was the only thing that needed immediate attention.
Once he makes sure that she’s fine, I take her to her bed and hold her until she falls asleep.
We are going to have to go through everything that went down. I have no doubt that my brothers are chaining Reaper up in the basement while I ensure that she is comfortable and settled.
I can feel the anticipation of how much I’m going to love getting my hits in.
This is the last Devil’s Soul and we are going to make it fucking hurt.
Camilla
Waking up the next morning, my body feels sore and there is a heavy arm around my waist. When I stir, I feel Tyson’s arm tighten.
“Morning, baby,” he says and I can’t help but smile.
“Morning,” I say tears welling in my eyes.
“Hey, hey what’s this about?” he asks turning my face to his.
I sniffle and look at his eyes through my tears. “I just, for a second last night, thought that I wasn’t going to see you again. I tried so hard not to be scared, but I was terrified.”
“Baby, it is okay to be scared. It’s all over now. You won’t have to worry about not seeing me anymore. I’ll always be right here with you,” he says and kisses me lightly.
I pull back and hum out my frustration.
“I wish I could really kiss you, but my tongue still hurts really fucking badly,” I say and he chuckles.
“When you are all better, baby, you can kiss me whenever you want,” he says, lightly kissing me and pulling me up so that we can get ready for the day.
“Well what happens now?” I ask nervously.
“What happens is we are going to go down for breakfast. Then you are going to tell my dad and brothers what happened and then, after I have church, I’m going to take you home and we can finally have some privacy,” he says.
“Alright, but if you are just looking for someone to clean up after you then you’ve got the wrong lady,” I say with a fake glare and he laughs at me.
“No, it’s spotless since I now eat all my meals here with you.”
I nod my head because he has been spending a lot of time here since we went on our date.
We get downstairs and have breakfast with everyone who is there, which looks like the whole club, but I don’t question it.
My parents are smiling and seem excited that the threat is finally over. My brother must have told them.
“The club is letting us own a house that is just down the street. We tried to purchase it ourselves, but they would not let us. There is no way we are leaving this town, especially now that I know you are finally happy,” my mom says as I sit down beside her. I can’t help but smile at her.
It’s such a relief to know that my family is still going to stay in town. I don’t want to be far away from them either.
Before I can utter another word, I see the club whores walk into the house. I can’t say that I care for them given the last encounter with Bullet but, as far as I know, they were supposed to keep their distance. They might have gotten the go ahead to come back because they sure didn’t waste any time.
A know a couple of them stay at the clubhouse since they have
