then I remembered his words he'd said, 'I can be everywhere at the same time.' so he used a dumpy, his clon.

'LIER!'

His death was too good to be true; I should have known. Why would he do that, tricked me, fooled me? All those words of his were false, and he lied to me.

I heard Leo's footsteps walking away, out of his room. He was above to leave for his mission.

"Leo, wait," I called, but he never returned a reply. Panic surged me, but my body was a frozen block of meat, I couldn't move, and I needed to hurry up before it was too late.

"LEO, STOP!" I screamed again, this time louder, but he couldn't hear me. I felt my voice trapped in my throat. I tried to open my eyes, but my eyelids were too heavy for me to lift them. I felt like I was captivated in my own body. I felt helpless.

The sound of uncontrollable rage can be heard throughout the entire pack of land. Now that I think of it, the crowd roared, on the appearances of their Alpha—ready for the war.

'Leo.' I whispered through our mind link.

'Aries.' Tears squeezed out of the corner of my eyes, upon hearing his response. The pain, emotion of it all flooded my chest once more.

'Are you awake, baby?' He asked.

'Not entirely, still weak but you're completely taking advantage of my vulnerable state and—'

'And I'll ask for your forgiveness when I come back, my mate.' He whispered soothingly.

'All those things you said they were nice.' I told him through our mind link.

'You deserved them, baby.'

'Y-you p-proposed.' I couldn't deny but shy away. Even motionless, my lashes dropped, and the butterflies in my stomach fluttered like crazy.

'D-do you really—'

'I do.' He said, 'Aries, do you accept my proposal—'

'I accept.' I announced.

'How, I wish I could kiss you right now.'

'When you return, I'll reward you more than just a kiss, my Alpha.'

Leo moaned, savoring my words.

'I'll be back before you know it.' He promised.

But suddenly, the words sank in, and my smiles replaced with concern.

'Leo, I'm not going to stop you from going, but come back to me, Love, safely and soon. I'll be waiting.'

'I'll.'

'Then go and bring me his head.' I can almost feel Leo's chest puffed up with pride.

I got better as time passed, but it was still a difficult time for me. I was extremely anxious and distressed. There were too many questions that kept me agitated and restless.

My heart was disheartened, and my mind was under an evil thought that was significantly affecting my concentration.

I was trying to get on premonitions from Leo's sweater. Still, the last time when I did, all I saw was, killing, burning, and destruction, and the sheer terror of that was making me too scared to know the facts. It was frustrating.

It has been three days since my mate was gone—out of state, and out of range of our mind link. So now, here I was, full of fear and panic, extremely anxious once again. No one has heard or had any information on him other than...

"GG, please try again." I have been begging her to use her psychic powers to communicate with all of them, especially Leo, but she couldn't. She said something was blocking her. So then I made a determined decision and decided to step in the breach.

~*~

I started with the preparation, collecting a few items; Apophyllite crystal pyramids for protection, a dirk—a long thrusting pointed dagger and Leo's wristwatch.

Word of mouth quickly spread, and personal items from other mates, mothers, and siblings were given to me because I was not the only person concerned about them.

Choosing an empty room on the dark side of the dwelling, I began the first part of the process; with the dagger, I made a long deep cut in my palm, and the blood flowed in a small stream. Using a paintbrush and my blood, I drew a large circle inside that circle. I drew an overlapping circles grid, which is a geometric pattern of repeating circles. Each circle represented each wolf from the Iron Moon Pack. The design, the symbol, was equivalent to 'The Flower of Life.'

The four Apophyllite crystal pyramids were placed on each corner of the room. All the belongings were given to me by the loved ones placed in a sandalwood box. With everything ready, it was now time for me to sit in the center of this symbol.

"Aries, it's dangerous, and you're risking your life. You could die." GG warned me of what might happen.

"Well, it's worth dying if I could save the loved ones, 'll forfeit myself if I have to, I'll do anything for my love," I told her, as I was not going to drop out.

"I warned Leo about Simon, and now I'm warning you, child."

"No. You're not warning me, you're keeping me away from my mate who is fighting, putting his own life in danger for me," I said with a scowl, feeling a little offended as I glared at her a little.

"Aries, Simon can never die." She mentions, and I blink a few times.

"Every cruel thing must die." I scoffed.

"Not, Simon." She said firmly.

"What do you know about Simon?" I asked her to think deeper.

She sighed; that was the cover of her distress.

"He is a fiend in human shape. He's powerful in promoting the work of Satan." She began. "Century after century Simon had gained the trust of gods and goddesses, earning their precious gifts, and boons, of immortality he could henceforth not be killed. He's indestructible. He did not show any deference to others or the divine forces above him. He kills anything that came his way. BUT, nothing can destroy him... " She paused and looked at me before she spoke again to make sure I was carefully listening to her.

"Neither fire nor water. Neither metal nor wood. Neither a human nor beast, nor a creature, nor a witch, can defeat him. Everything is doomed to be a failure."

I stood silent, unable to speak as the information overwhelmed my mind.
