struggles are absolutely my thing. But consider. If Akiva can make you submit, then you won’t be knocking on my door anytime soon.”

Curiously more than anything I looked down to Indra and a small smile curled over his full mouth. “You can try,” he said. “I couldn’t make either of them submit either, so who knows? Maybe you’re more of a pack leader than I am.”

But still his amber eyes blazed and I was not so sure of that.

“Still haven’t gotten an answer,” Cian hummed.

“I have interests, sure,” I agreed. I gestured to Indra. “That’s looking pretty tempting, actually.”

“Indra?”

“No, well yes, but I meant his current position.”

I didn’t know Akiva could move so quickly.

One moment I was on the sofa and the next I was inexplicably on the floor. Akiva tugged me forward, my body between his legs and my hands braced on his thighs.

I hadn’t even needed to ask, and my body had no idea how to respond to the quick reversal.

“Is this okay?” he asked, pausing. “You know the traffic light system. Color?”

The moment of confusion passed. “Green,” I whispered, making him grin once more. My tail curled behind me as Akiva stroked his hands over my ears and situated me more comfortably so I sat on my knees, head on his thigh.

“You want to be a good girl for me?” he whispered, rubbing my canine ears and running his fingers through my hair. “I knew it, with the way you acted when I stroked your tail.”

Yes. Yes I absolutely wanted to be a good girl for him, and the way my body was reacting was proof of that. Heat pooled between my thighs and I leaned into Akiva, fingers gripping the rough denim of his jeans.

Indra looked at me, nostrils flared slightly and I had a good feeling that he could smell my arousal, much the same as I had been able to smell his all night.

Cian paused, hand going to his pocket. “I’ll be right back,” he said as he stood. “Phone call.”

He left, and immediately Indra was behind me, one arm wrapped around my waist.

“No need for a safe word,” he murmured. “Just say stop and I will.”

“Okay.” My voice was only slightly softer than his. Akiva didn’t let me pull backward, and instead lifted my wrists and encircled them in his free hand while the other stroked over my ears still.

Then Indra was kissing my bare shoulder, mouth open and teeth scraping against my skin. His hand at my waist wasn’t still, and my skin twitched when his hand lifted my shirt, palm warm against my breast.

I gasped, surprised, and Akiva took that moment to kiss me hard, teeth digging into my lower lip. Pain blossomed there, but it only served to make me want more of this. I pressed into Indra, hips tight against his.

I had a moment to consider that this was not how I thought my night would go, but then Indra was growling into my ear, the sound making me shiver. It was a much more dominant sound than I’d thought him capable of making, and he followed it up by nipping at the shell of my human ear, both hands lifting my shirt so Akiva could watch him palm my breasts, fingers finding my nipples and rolling them between his thumb and forefinger. I gasped, mouth falling open as I leaned back against his shoulder. I needed his hands somewhere else.

Indra’s hands were just the right amount of rough, and he hissed quietly, though I wasn’t paying enough attention to make out the words. It didn’t bother me that he had my shirt up over my collarbone so Akiva could watch and appreciate; why should it?

The lich himself sat back, having released my hands so I could twine them around Indra’s neck, brushing his ears as I stretched my arms upward. The hellhound situated me more comfortably on my knees, body pressed in a hard line behind mine, and when his hips slid against mine, I could feel how thrilled he was to be here.

Finally without a quip at his lips, Akiva only watched, one hand having unbuttoned the front of his very tight jeans. His eyes shone in the dark, lips parted as Indra’s hand trailed down my stomach teasingly, finding the button of my shorts and causing me to gasp. There was no way Indra wasn’t good with his hands, and he was so close-

“Akiva. Indra.” Cian’s voice was sharp and it felt like I’d been doused with ice water. Both men looked to be feeling the same, and Indra stood when he saw Cian’s face.

“What’s wrong?” the hellhound asked, stepping closer to him. Akiva stood as well, though had the grace to help me up as I fixed my shirt.

“We need to go. Now.” He looked at me, hesitating like he wanted to say something, then decided against it. “Give Akiva your number, if you like. We’ll see you again if you’re interested.”

“I mean, I could be,” I said breathily, and Akiva smirked.

“I’ll remember if you just tell me,” the lich promised.

I did so, and he recited it back to me perfectly before leaning forward and kissing my cheek. “Sorry to cut this short, George,” he called, already on his way out with the others.

I only stood there, confused. “It’s fine,” I said. Had I done something wrong? I hadn’t thought it seemed that way, but what did I know?

Shaking my head, I went to find Aveline so we could go home and find the vodka.

Chapter 7

True to her word, Aveline had a lot of vodka and a lot of soda.

Upon seeing my face she’d immediately pulled away from her ‘friend’ and looked down the hallway as if I might be running from Cian or his lovers.

I’d told her tersely what had happened, and had offered to just wait for her, but to my surprise she’d told her friend that she had to leave and had immediately marched out the door with me.

Then we’d
