The second present was bulky, but not quite so heavy. It almost felt squishy. When Sam unwrapped it, he found a large blanket spilling over his hands, fluffy and so very soft.
“We thought about getting you a personal blanket,” Harris said, biting down a smile. “Then we figured you might have to share it with Landon, or Valen might come share it with you. So we ended up getting one that... kind of fits all of us. Except, you know, it’s yours.”
Sam laughed. He almost cuddled the blanket to himself, except he was still sweaty. “I can’t wait to use it. But maybe after we shower.”
Valen grinned. “Yeah, we’ve got our sweaty asses on the couch right now.”
“It’ll dry,” Harris said, kissing Sam’s shoulder. “I hear that sweaty butts dry off faster with spanking.”
“Yours?” Valen asked Harris.
“I meant yours,” Harris answered, looking pointedly at Valen.
“I would watch that,” Sam said, perking up. “Would you?”
Valen laughed. “Sam gets what he wants.”
Harris’ smile grew, and Valen hugged both Harris and Sam, joy lighting his face.
Sam beamed, leaning into both his alphas. “This is the perfect birthday. Thank you.”
Valen brushed his wrist across Sam’s forehead, and Harris nuzzled Sam. “Thank you for being in our lives, Sam,” Harris said, cracking a warm smile. “Everything’s better with you.”
“Especially in bed,” Valen said under his breath. Harris raised an eyebrow. Sam laughed.
“Especially in bed,” Sam agreed. “Maybe we should break in the new blanket there.”
“Deal,” Harris answered, kissing the back of Sam’s hand.
“For real, though,” Valen said, kissing Sam’s nape. “We love you. I’m so glad we’re all married.”
As they marked him with their scents again, Sam closed his eyes, relaxing into his alphas’ presence, and their love. It was wonderful to have his family around him, the promise of his alphas by his side. Life was perfect.
