“I don’t want to get on anything, we’re enemies and all that ...”
She raises her brows. “Didn’t look like it before.”
“There you are!”
I turn to see Ramona strolling in, looking gorgeous as ever. Thank god, she got in just in time. I love Jade, don’t get me wrong, but the girl would fuck anything hot that had a penis, and I have no doubt her fantasies tonight will involve Cash Riggs.
Mine won’t.
Absolutely not.
“Hey!” I say, hugging Ramona. “You saved me.”
“From Jade?” she asks, pulling back.
“Yeah, she’s trying to get me onto Riggs.”
“Her and the rest of us.” Ramona grins. “Speaking of, why are they here?”
I shrug. “They decided to come and see what all the fuss was about. They’re behaving. A little too much, if you ask me.”
Ramona glances at them. “Where is the boss?”
I turn and see Riggs has gone, the woman too. Oh, oh, no he doesn’t. I glance around the café and over to the bar and stage. He isn’t in here anymore. A quick peek through the glass windows shows me he’s not standing out front. Did he take her out and back home? It’s likely, but I’m going to check out back anyway. God knows he’s charming enough to get out there without anyone being suspicious.
I tell Ramona I’ll be back and rush out past the bar to the doors that lead out back. I move past my office, that is closed and locked. I go to round the corner to the staff bathrooms when I hear them. The sounds are clearly that of woman’s pleasure, a soft whimper. Great, he’s fucking her in my hallway. Who does he actually think he is?
I pause and listen for a minute.
“Why were you staring at that girl so much?” the girl whimpers after a few minutes.
What girl?
“Don’t know what you’re fuckin’ talkin’ about. Are you goin’ to fuck me or are we here to chat?”
Yeesh, he’s brutal.
“I saw you, you were looking at her every time I looked at you. The girl that owns this place.”
Wait, me?
“You’re imaginin’ shit, now shut up and let’s do this.”
“Ugh, you’re a dick. I could clearly see you were into her.”
Oh, boy.
“She’s a fuckin’ psycho. Can’t fuckin’ stand her.”
Oh.
My.
God.
Is that how he talks about me behind my back?
Is that what he thinks of me?
“Oh, she’s the one who cut the power cord?” the girl asks, as if happy to hear he doesn’t like me.
“Yeah, she drives me crazy. Nothin’ to worry about there. She does nothin’ for me.”
Oh, wow.
Wow.
Anger bubbles in my chest, mostly because I can’t stand people that talk behind another person’s back. If that’s how he truly feels about me, why the hell was he sitting at the bar being nice? I knew it was a trick, a way of getting me to think everything was over.
He’s got another thing coming.
I force myself not to react, even though everything inside of me wants to, and I spin on my heel and walk out. I go right up to Ramona and say, “How many Post-It notes do we have?”
She blinks.
“Ah, I ordered loads a few weeks ago. I don’t know, we’d have to check your office. Why?”
“You’ll see. Also, how good are you at breaking and entering?”
Her eyes get big. “Not bad. Tell me what evil thing you’re planning.”
“You’ll see. Let’s go.”
We go to my office just in time to see Riggs walking out with his little fling. He pauses when he sees us, eyes wide.
“You’re not allowed back here,” I say in a stony voice.
Then, without giving him the chance to say anything, I unlock the office door and walk in, shutting it behind me.
“Wait, what’s going on?” Ramona asks.
I tell her everything I heard, then I tell her my plan.
She squeals with delight. “You’re an evil genius. But I have a better idea. We don’t have to break and enter, I just have to get in there, and I know exactly how I can do that.”
“How?” I ask.
“I’ll seduce one of those bikers, won’t be hard. They’re always up for a good time. I’ll tell them to take me in and fuck me on one of those cars. Once I’m in there, I’ll unlock a door and we’ll go in once they’re asleep.”
“You’re a fucking genius,” I grin.
“It’s a win-win for me, I get to make out with one of those hotties. I’m not suffering ...”
I laugh, and we go through the office supplies until we find a whole carton of Post-It notes.
“I’ll get these ready.”
She grins.
I grin.
We know exactly how this is going down, and it’s going to be fucking epic.
He’ll wish he never called me a fucking psycho.
By the time he wakes up for his big opening day tomorrow, he’s going to wish those words never left his lips.
I’ll make sure of it.

“SHHH,” I HISS TO RAMONA as she giggles wildly while sticking yet another Post-It note on the very shiny, very expensive car we’re vandalizing.
Okay, we’re not harming it in anyway technically. We’re just covering it in a thousand Post-It notes that all say “Fucking psycho was here.”
It took me hours to write out that many notes, and my hand is killing me. Ramona busied herself with Papi, ew, and as predicted her plan when well. She told him she wanted to get fucked over a car, he brought her into the garage and the two of them did god knows what. She managed to unlock a door and when she left and they all went to sleep, we slipped back in.
With Post-It notes.
It’s going to take hours for us to cover this car, but the look on Riggs’ face in the morning will be priceless. Utterly priceless.
“What did you and Papi get up to?” I ask, sticking the notes on the shiny paint.
I hope this doesn’t cause any damage. I don’t think it will, I even did a little
