“He has never given up on her.” Eva chuckles. “You know, she thought he was too old for her. She once told me that was one of the reasons she tried to avoid him and turned him down.”
She lifts her head and looks into my eyes. The smile on her lips is the first real smile she’s given me in days. I reach to trace her lips.
“What?”
“I guess I got dating older men from her,” she teases.
I growl and close the distance between us to take her lips. She wraps her arms around my neck and we get lost in our connection. The kiss turns feverish. It’s clear we both need this more than we know.
She breaks the kiss and looks at me through her lashes. “Make love to me,” she whispers.
I grab her hip with one hand and palm her breast with the other. “You don’t have to ask twice,” I say before dipping my head to take her nipple between my lips.

I cry out, my body aches for him. I had been tired and confused with everything going on but sitting here in his lap has caused my body to come to life. I can no longer ignore his erection that’s been twitching against my ass.
“Babe, Owen, yes,” I sing for him as he sucks on my breast and fingers me from behind.
I begin to rock my hips, greedy for more of him. For now, I let all of the drama slip away. There’s nothing I can do about it now anyway.
What I can do is enjoy the way this man makes me feel. I drop my head back and move my hands to hold on to his strong shoulders. He circles my nipple with his tongue in a teasing manner, causing me to lower my head and look down at him.
He lifts me and lines up with my entrance. I follow the command he gives with his eyes and lower myself onto his throbbing length. The way he fills and stretches me makes me feel like I’ve come home.
“Thank you,” I say in a moment of insanity.
Brick bursts out into laughter and even that feels so good and delicious. I cup his face and place my forehead to his. We breathe each other in as I start to move up and down.

A few days later…
It’s been a long time since I’ve been at this location. It’s an old shack in the woods. It looks abandoned to the rest of the world.
We keep it around for club business such as this. The woods play their part in the end. The wild hogs will provide aid as well.
“You say the word,” Reap sings gleefully.
I nod, giving her the go ahead. I want this over. There’s more to be done.
We’re not even going to fool ourselves into thinking this is all over. Mags had nothing to do with the guys outside my club, the fires, or the attacks on Sal. Those were just warnings.
We still have a problem out there. The sooner we take care of this one the better.
Mags screams as Reap approaches her. “Please. I’ve told you all I know. Please, no more. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. Please,” she cries.
She’s been saying sorry for the last two days. Too bad I know she isn’t. She’s only sorry she failed and got caught.
Her cries fall on deaf ears. Mags looks like she’s been through a meat grinder, but I can’t find it in me to feel the least bit moved by her appearance or her pleas. Not even with the skin hanging from her face and arms.
Reap tortured the information we need out of her after we had a doctor stitch up her original bullet wounds.
“Now that we have what Miguel wants, we have the leverage we need to bring the pressure,” Grim says.
“Exactly.” I nod. “If he wants us or that money, he can come at us. We’ll be waiting.”
“Do you think he will show up once he knows she’s gone?”
“Brother, I don’t give a damn. He’ll be lucky if I don’t show up at his door after I handle this other bullshit. You know I believe in just cutting the entire fucking head off the snake whether it’s facing me with its hiss or not,” I reply.
“True, strike now before it turns and comes for you while you’re asleep.”
“Exactly.”
The distinct sound of a bullet’s pressure moving through a silencer grabs our attention. I turn to see Reap with a satisfied smile on her face and Mags slumped to the side.
“That’s that,” Grim says.
“Sure the fuck is.”
And I feel nothing. I should. I was once married to that heap of flesh. However, she killed any feelings I may have still had for her when she tried to kill my woman and child.
Honestly, I won’t shed a single tear. Magdalena meant to hurt my woman and family. She got what she deserved.
“Bring Jemma in,” I say coldly.
My thoughts are moving quickly. My cousin was released this morning after being treated and monitored for her bullet wound. They wanted to keep an eye on the baby.
