killed. I love you too much to allow it. You are going to survive.”

“I can’t let him take Fallon. Lyov will…”

“Do nothing,” she finished for him. “We will see to it. You can and you will. You mean everything to me. She means nothing.”

“No.”

Adrianna turned to Vidar who was looking at both of them in disgust.

Coming back to the present, the Billionaire charged into the hallway and addressed Adrianna.

“I told you not to let her in.”

“She persuaded one of the staff to let her in. Take her. I suggest you carry her out of here by force otherwise she will fight you. Her room is on the second floor at the end.”

There was no emotion in the woman’s voice. With a cold calculating father who raped women and had destroyed others in his own corporate raiding in the past, Vidar wondered if he wasn’t doing Fallon a favor by taking her away from her family. Clearly, she knew very little of her father’s past.

Vidar started to make his way to the door determined to steal Fallon from the house.

“No, you can’t.”

Ethan appeared and went to stop him but Adrianna stood in his way.

Vidar turned back to him.

“As I said before, don’t try to contact her. You are not to see her ever again. I doubt she will want to when she learns everything about you and accepts the truth. Perhaps this way you can feel what it was like for me when I was split from my family and put in a foster home. My sister has been missing for years because of you but I will find her. And if I discover you have been holding out and keeping information from me, I will kill you,” he told the man. “You are not to see Fallon ever again or the police get to know everything. Do I make myself clear?”

Ethan growled and it was Adrianna who answered him and confirmed the agreement. He took off at speed up to Fallon’s room to kidnap her from the house and change her life forever just as he had promised.

“What the hell are you doing here?” she said breathlessly, the anxiety in her gentle voice more than audible as he threw open the door to her room.

Again, he felt that twinge of remorse. He opened his mouth to speak but Adrianna appeared behind him.

“I let him in. You can’t stay here. Stop packing your bag because I am not letting you leave with anything from this house. You are no longer part of this family or welcome here. You were never really a part of it. Your mother was a whore who was never married to your father. Now you will be one just like her.”

Vidar glared at her. Fallon stared and paled.

“What the hell are you talking about? You are the interloper here.”

“Your mother was a cheap tart your father trafficked and took an unhealthy liking to.”

“What the hell are you talking about? Trafficked. My father is lots of things but he isn’t a trafficker? I refuse to believe it.”

Adrianna laughed.

“Yes, he is. He is a bully and a sadist. You know that from the way he has beat you and made you do a lot of things you didn’t want to, including leaving your PhD in Astrophysics to run his company. He raped your mother and you were the result. You are the offspring of a rapist.”

Fallon paled so much Vidar was sure she was about to pass out. He walked towards her and took her arm protectively pulling her back against his body, ready to catch her if she did. Adrianna was something else. A real bitch from hell.

“I think you have said enough,” he snapped at the woman.

Ethan Prince appeared in the doorway.

“Is it true?” Fallon asked him in a trembling voice. The man said nothing but his watery grey eyes told her everything she needed to know. “And I was never loved? Just a convenience for business?”

She asked the questions but appeared to have the answers herself. “And my brother?”

“The same. There is nothing here for you. I love your father no matter what he has done and I would see you killed to save him if I had to,” the woman hissed.

Vidar felt Fallon shake against him.

“You are sick,” he told the woman.

Vidar heard his captive give a small nervous laugh. He tightened his hold on Fallon’s body to give her some support.

“This isn’t real. This is all some kind of sick joke.”

There were tears in her voice.

“I assure you it isn’t,” Adrianna said in a regal tone. She turned to Vidar. “Are you going to take her or not? Either way I am throwing her out with the trash.”

Vidar’s heart leapt for Fallon. He took hold of her other arm and gently propelled her towards the door. She gave him little resistance at first, too dumbstruck by the revelations and the cruelty of her father and stepmother.

But as she neared Adrianna, she struggled violently and charged at her father banging her fists against his chest.

“How could you have done that to my mother?”

She whipped her hand across his face and still he said nothing.

Adrianna pulled her away and raised her hand to strike her but Vidar caught hold of the stepmother’s arm and prevented her.

“Enough. I will take her.”

She shook her arm away from him and allowed him to take a firm hold of Fallon. He steered her through the door wanting her out and away from her vile family as soon as possible. But she stopped on the stairs and looked up at both of them.

“It was you who killed her wasn’t it? It wasn’t an accident in that car. It was you.”

Her father said nothing. His silence gave away his guilt so easily.

“I always knew something was wrong. She was always a careful driver. You got away with her murder. I will find a way to make you pay. I will find a way,” she vowed struggling to free herself from Vidar’s hold.

“You
