Today was my seventeenth birthday, so he had arranged something special for me.
The night before, I had told him that I was ready to lose my virginity.
I knew Ben was always the one for me, right from that very first day and our interrupted kiss.
There were pink rose petals scattered on top of his bed. He really had gone to town with trying to make my first time extra special.
‘Are you sure that you want to do this?’ he softly asked.
I gazed into his eyes. I smiled, knowing that beneath my dress I wore beautiful lingerie, bought especially for this occasion.
‘Yes, it is you I choose to be with for the rest of my life.’
He placed his lips onto mine.
We had been together for a couple of months since the winter show. He even came to visit me back at my parent’s house over the Christmas break. I had been reluctant to be with him. Not wanting him to vanish from my life again. It would break my heart. But he had saved my life. And then he’d turned up to watch me perform at the winter show. I decided to forgive him for playing hard to get. He’d realised his feelings of love for me were bigger than any danger he might put me in.
Our passionate kiss moved his lips to my neck, as he stroked his hands through my hair. I pulled his t-shirt over his head to view his firm torso, moving my hands along his pecs. Unbuttoning my flowered dress, the material dropped over my body. I felt Ben’s eyes locked onto my chest.
‘Is it ok to touch you?’
I nodded at him. He cupped his hands over my bra. His touch felt so good.
I’d been worried I’d have flashbacks to Daniel trying to steal my innocence. But I was at ease with Ben.
This time was the right moment for me.
I removed my bra to reveal my breasts, my nerves almost getting the better of me. I still had not gained back much weight from what I’d endured.
‘Wow Grace, you are just so beautiful.’
Ben held me in his arms and kissed me passionately again, then he gently lowered me onto his bed. As he took off his jeans and boxers, I removed my French knickers. Ben reached for the condom on his bedside table.
I was losing my virginity to the wolf I loved so much. It was so right and now we were bound to be together forever.
I couldn’t wait to tell Natalie all about it.
Grace and Natalie will return in book two, Black Rose. This book will introduce the readers to Stefan.
Black Rose: Girl in the Red Coat Returns
Turn over for a sneak preview of book two.
T here was something different about him. I’d felt it since I first laid my eyes on him.
The first day of transferring to a new college at just sixteen was horrible enough as it was, not knowing anyone. But to then fall for him straight away. The love I had for Dominic just vanished away. How had I been ready to move on so quickly? I was fixated with this new guy and the black rose tattoo on his neck. The only thing that didn’t quite fit with his tall masculine physique were his hands.
On my first encounter with him, I had observed everything about this guy but there was something very different about him that I couldn’t put my finger on. Our eyes met in the reception during my first day as we passed, walking in different directions. I was starting a course on performing arts. I wondered if our paths would cross again. I watched him head towards the direction of art and design. I figured he was maybe a couple of years older than me. He was wearing a baseball cap with a New York Yankees jersey he had stubbly facial hair around his chin. I couldn’t stop thinking about him for the rest of the day…
Acknowledgements.
F irst of all, I would like to thank my family and friends who have been waiting patiently for this book to finally get finished. It has taken me just over seven to write Girl in the Red Coat. I truly hope that this book was worth the wait. As well as you all, for continuing to push me to get this book written and shared with everyone.
Thank you to the Globe Writers. As always, your guidance and support is truly appreciated. Without all of you and our weekly meet ups, I don’t think I would have carried on with writing as much as I have done.
Thank you to Matthew Head, the owner of the Globe Coffeeshop for supporting writers like myself.
Thank you to David Huggett (David Huggett Photography) for creating a fabulous book cover for Girl in the Red Coat (you may recognise the model)
Last of all thank you to my editor Dr Fallon Gold, you have done an amazing job editing my first ever novel.
