out from under me, came forward, and pinned me on the bed, his hands resting on my shoulders.

“You bad little girl,” he said, “you almost made me come without fucking you.”

“Sor—”

“Eh, eh, hush,” he commanded.

Oh, it was so fucking hot. He hadn’t touched me since before I was sucking him off, and my pussy was awash in excitement.

“You got your way for a little bit because I let you. But don’t let it go to your head. Now I’m the one in charge. You understand?”

I nodded. Liam nodded back, slid in me, and proceeded to fuck me somehow even harder than last night.

If ever there was sex that was going to roll my eyes to the back of my head and knock me out, this was it. The bed shook—which it didn’t even do last night—and my whole body felt like it was on an enormous vibrator. I came once almost immediately, and that was far from the last orgasm of the session.

We rolled around in the bed, and never was there any real moments of downtime. I don’t think his cock ever came outside me, save for a half-second when we switched positions, but even that was mostly done with him still inside me.

He had me in doggy again, and for a brief moment, I tried to be the one to set the movement. But he firmly—and I mean really fucking firmly—grabbed my hips, preventing me from moving, and went to town on me.

“Oh, God, Liam!”

He came from that position once more—at least if, somehow, someway, sex ever got old, I knew the position to get him to finish—and when he finished, I collapsed forward. The bed was a mess. We were a mess.

But goddamn, it was a fucking beautiful mess.

“Oh my God,” I said as I sat on the bed, soaking wet and nearly delirious with pleasure. “I’m just going to say, at the very least, this part had better last some time.”

Liam let out a pleasured sigh.

“You’re telling me, Kelly,” he said. “I don’t know that I’ve ever said this to a woman before, but you’re going to run me ragged before it’s all said and done.”

I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. The thought of Charlotte came to mind, and I told Liam to stay put. I got out of bed, threw on a robe quickly, and hurried to Charlotte’s room. Amazingly, the beautiful angel remained right where she was, looking as calm and relaxed as I’d seen her after quieting her in the middle of the night.

“It’s like you know,” I said with a smile.

I headed back to the room. When I got there, I dropped the robe, because why not? Being naked around Liam, even if it would take a bit before we had sex again, felt fantastic. I found my cell phone on the ground; realizing I hadn’t checked it since well before last night, I unlocked it.

I had four missed calls from Emily.

I had a terrible sinking feeling. Sean. It has to be about him. I just hoped the fact that I’d missed all those calls wasn’t a sign I was too late.

“I gotta make a call, one sec,” I said to Liam as I pulled the covers up on us.

“Kelly?” Emily said. She sounded exhausted but nervous.

“Yeah, are you OK?”

“Where’s Liam?”

“He’s…”

Did I lie and say still in town?

“He’s here. Why?”

That felt vague enough. She’d learn sooner or later anyway. And it wasn’t like Liam and I had never hooked up before this.

“Here, like, with you?”

“Yeah, why?”

Her voice was far too panicked for me to worry she was trying to extract juicy gossip from me.

“Put me on speakerphone. I need him to hear what’s going on.”

“OK,” I said, now nervous on behalf of Emily. “You’re on speakerphone. Liam is here.”

“Liam, Kelly, I need your help. Sean is back.”

I felt a terrible feeling in my stomach. I looked at Liam. He didn’t look the least bit outwardly concern, but I could practically feel his resolve tighten. I knew he’d help her however necessary.

“What’s going on, Emily?” Liam said. “How do you know this?”

“Well, remember how I told you Sean used to send the most passive-aggressive letters to me, a sort of sign that he knew where I lived and what not? It happened again. But it wasn’t in my mailbox. It was at my front door.”

I gulped. That had to be Sean. The whole “write a letter and drop it off” wasn’t something that just happened. Most guys probably didn’t even know how to write a letter, just an email.

This was bad. I hoped Liam understood just how bad it was.

“I can’t go to the police, Liam. You know how that went last time.”

“It’s why you hired me,” he said. “Emily, how soon can you get to Colorado?”

“Wait, what?” Emily said, surprised.

Even I was a bit surprised at that. I half-expected him to say he’d head down there. I never expected him to bring her here.

“I managed to get Sean off your ass with the threat of ruining him for good,” Liam said, “and it worked for a while. But he’s not stupid. He’s decided that continuing to pursue you is worth the risk of whatever I can do. Which means that mere threats won’t do any good. I need you to come here for your safety while we figure something out.”

“I can’t; I have work, and—”

“Emily, this isn’t something that we can negotiate,” Liam said. “If we have to, we’ll pay for you to get out here, and we can figure out the money right now. Your life—”

“I can’t leave! That’s letting him win!”

A long pause came on the line. I really prayed Emily didn’t buy into that nonsense about “letting him win.”
