I wait, knowing that she will return to bed soon. When she does, she lies next to me and I tug her close to my body. Her gaze grows heated, and my nostrils flare as I scent her arousal.
“Does my mate wish for me to make love to her all morning?” I tease. My tail twines around her thigh as I pull her leg over my hip yet again.
Her eyes are bright with tears as they stare deep into mine.
Worried, I cup her cheek. “What is wrong, my linaya?”
A tear escapes her lashes and rolls softly down her cheek. “Nothing, my love. I just… never thought I could be this happy… that I could ever trust someone like I trust you,” her voice quavers softly. “You are more than I ever could have hoped for, Kaj. I love you with all that I am.”
I press a tender kiss to her lips. “And you are the blessing I prayed for all of my life, Anna. You are my everything.”
