family and getting the address to the brownstone the Denning’s would have stayed in. Who will accompany me?”

William, Thomas, and Josiah are chosen to go, and he turns to the two other board members with a determined look on his face. “Get Dr. Rudolph in here and get that journal from him. Don't tip our hand, simply say we are working on pushing up the publication and need to begin working on it. We mustn't lose that journal! It may be the only remaining copy of the second Protocol. Call in a team to start looking at the facts in this third protocol. Maybe we can use it to stop the spread of this disease.”

Janet rushes back to her seat and tries to stop the trembling of her hands. Jung couldn’t possibly have done what they are stating. This Denning girl must be a jilted lover or a liar. It's just not humanly possible. He's been so gentle with her.

Dr. Rudolph has no clue of the storm heading his way. When he gets the note from the board, his excitement can't be contained. Walking through the hallowed halls of Harvard, Dr. Jung Rudolph can't help but smile. With the journal secured safely in his room, he can hardly believe how well this plan has worked out.

Heavy dark wood panels line the office walls, with its dark green carpets and large windows. Jung smiles at the secretary, and she hurries to intercept him. She has been a treat to work on and with! Janet puts her fingers to her lips and points to the hall closet. Jung feels his lust boil at the thought of raising her skirts again.

He follows her with a hearty grin and begins to unbuckle his pants. Janet grins and smacks at him. “No, Dr. Rudolph. This morning the President sent for an emergency meeting with all the board members. They were in there for hours, and they were discussing you,” she says, rubbing her body against his.

Jung leans down and chews on her neck and cups her heavy breasts in his hand. Squeezing her nipples, he growls in her ear, “Keep talking.” Janet groans and her hand runs down the front of his pants. He leans back against the door and begins to lift her heavy skirt.

“Jung, you must listen. I couldn’t hear everything, but I heard something about a Dr. Denning? This morning an older woman came here with a letter from a Miss Summer Denning and the President was very upset after he read it!”

Jung jumps back in shock, “Impossible! Summer Denning is dead!” Janet just looks at him silently. He begins straightening up his clothes, all thoughts of a tryst instantly gone.

“He called an emergency meeting, and they were discussing a protocol three or something. They are talking about having you arrested. Jung, what is going on?”

“A third protocol? Unmöglich!” Impossible. The old man would have told him, but his daughter wouldn’t have!

“They left in a carriage a few minutes later. Then the board members who stayed demanded that I find you! I took the liberty of writing down the return address on the letter before giving it to William.” She pulls the paper from her pocket and hands it to Jung.

“You are perfection, Janet! Tell me everything you heard.” Jung takes the address and turns to gather his coat. She smiles at the compliment and whispers, “Only to you, Jung.” After she tells him everything she asks, “Will I see you tonight?”

“I’m afraid not. I will need to check this out and see what all the drama is about. Just stall the board for me. Tell them I am out of town. I’ll send you a telegram when I can. Don’t worry, we will be together soon, my pet.” He kisses her hard on the mouth and glances out of the door, before hurrying off the way he came.

Janet turns to leave and is just sitting at her desk when she is buzzed from the board room. “Pardon the interruption, I just received a note that Dr. Jung is out of town on business for two days.”

“Thank you.” Janet returns to her desk and wonders just who this Summer Denning is and what she means to Dr. Rudolph. He didn’t seem pleased to hear that she was alive. Good! Dr. Rudolph promised to make her his wife if she helped him in his plans and she intends to do just that.

Jung returns to his room in his Boston hotel and packs quickly, throwing everything in his trunk, except his pistol. That will travel on his person. There are more efficient ways to make sure someone stays dead, and this time he means to make sure of it! Dropping to his knees, he pulls the black leather case out and snaps open the locks to open the lid and reveal the treasures within. Two fully loaded syringes. A slow grin spreads across his face, “This is just for you Summer…”

A sound at the door has him swinging around with his pistol raised. The lock clicks, allowing the intruder inside. Janet jumps at the sight of the gun and drops her keys, “Jung!”

“What are you doing here?” He snarls and leaps to his feet. He jerks her inside and closes the door.

“I wanted to see you…” her eyes take in the suitcases and trunk. “You’re leaving me?” A crimson stain of embarrassment flushes her cheeks as rage settles in.

“No, of course not. I am simply leaving no traces behind.” Jung turns and walks back to the bed after putting his pistol in his jacket. “We have spoken of this already.” He lifts one of the needles and releases the air without her noticing.

“Do you think I am a fool? You made promises to me, Jung. I can go with you!” She whines and grabs his arm to turn him towards her. The needle
