parents and my sister - as always a round of thanks to you. They say that your family will always love what you write. I’m blessed to be able to say that isn’t the case. My sister didn’t hold back on her thoughts of the first draft, giving me insights which helped me transform Nat from a quirky character into an actual human being. My dad immersed himself in the genre, texting ideas and hassling me to send over another batch of chapters to review. My mom read the first draft of my book and proclaimed it a masterpiece. I decided to take her encouragement and ignore the fact that she was on pain meds following a total knee replacement. Sometimes you need someone to pat you on the back to balance out the critiques.

Next, a huge thanks to all of my friends in the writing community. Our secret Facebook groups give me such insights, energy and life.

Last, but far from least, a shout out of thanks to the members of my Not A Book Club group on Facebook. When I needed early readers, you all stepped up to the plate. You stick around, chatting about books and life in equal measure. You accepted me as a writer before I did. Thank you!
