see you for myself. I couldn’t just come out and say I’m your sister. I didn’t know if I was going to stay.” She rattles her arms to Noah and he quickly uncuffs her. “That night at the hospital—” Her lips invert and she quickly blinks away tears. “I just wanted to open the door, to see you, see your baby. Everything looks so perfect in your life. And everything went so wrong in mine.” She glowers over at Carlotta. “And it’s all your fault, woman. And I’ll make sure you pay. Don’t worry, Lottie. I’m not a threat to you or your family. But I’m not leaving Honey Hollow anytime soon.” She’s right back to glaring at Carlotta. “I have some unfinished business with our mother that I have to tend to. Someone left me holding the bag back home. And now I’m going to make sure she gets what’s hers.”

A moaning sound comes from Carlotta.

“Now”—Charlie looks from my sisters to me—“all I have to do is find someplace to stay in this one-horse town. Let’s just say my new boyfriend and I don’t quite see eye to eye anymore. I’ll see you all around. You might wish you can get rid of me, but I’m not going anywhere.” She takes off toward the parking lot and Mom starts to take off after her but not before Everett plucks the baby from her arms.

“Wait!” Mom calls out. “I own half a B&B! You can stay with me, Charlie. If you’re my Lottie’s sister, that makes you my daughter, too!”

Mom manages to stop her and it looks as if they’re striking a deal.

Why do I get the feeling my mother is striking a deal with the devil? The devil in my own skin it seems.

Carlotta pivots on her heels. “I’ve gotta find Harry. It looks like there’s one more paternity test he’s gotta take.”

I catch her by the arm. “What did she mean by you left her holding the bag?”

Carlotta clams up as dark clouds roll in overhead as if a hurricane were on its way, and I have the feeling one just arrived.

“Carlotta? What did you do to her?” I demand.

Carlotta looks in the girl’s direction and her features harden.

A jag of lightning goes off overhead and a gust of wind comes out of nowhere.

Carlotta shakes her head. “Let’s just say she’s not so innocent herself. We’ve got trouble, Lot Lot. She’s worse than any curse, hex, pox, or broken mirror combined. The quicker we get rid of her, the better off we’ll all be.”

She takes off and her words echo through my mind.

Lainey and Meg stare over at the girl with me, right along with Noah and Everett.

Trouble has come to Honey Hollow and her name is Carlotta Sawyer.

Go figure.

My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owner’s impending doom.

A dispute at the local church leaves someone in need of their last rites, and Lottie is caught in the middle.

The mystery woman stalking Honey Hollow has been revealed, and Lottie suspects something wicked lies beneath the surface of that familiar face of hers.

An impending divorce. A hot homicide detective. And spontaneous time travel.

Midlife in Glimmerspell is proving to be magical.

If I thought the first half of my life was a bumpy ride, I’d better buckle up because I’m about to go over the hill and off the rails.

*A laugh out loud Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore*

After catching my husband in bed with another woman, I gave him the heave-ho, put our house on the market, and moved away to an enchanting little town for a brand new start. What I didn’t count on was the fact that enchanting little town might just be—enchanted.

Glimmerspell is rumored to be home to vampires, werewolves, and fae, but those are just simply gimmicks to lure tourists to their snowy little town—aren’t they?

Nevertheless, I’ve got a job at the Haunted Book Barn where my niece films her infamous video blog—Murder, Mayhem, and Baking. She’s somehow wrangled me into helping out with whipping up the sweet treats, and in the middle of filming an episode a hot flash strikes and I’m transported to another time, place, and another day entirely.

Midlife in Glimmerspell can be a real killer.
